Not gonna lie: seeing an animator nailed for fraud instead of some variety of sexual deviancy is a breath of fresh air these days. What a world we live in.

They're angry at AI taking their jerbs, not seeming to care that the "+Human" means some human artist helped clean the background art up. Which means AI art is just another tool to aid artists by giving them a base to work off of to make additions to. It's literally no different from using pre-rendered bases in Photoshop and Blender and the like.
This is exactly it. As always, AI is a tool and requires human programming to make it run. People bitching about it are either a). people who don't like change, or b). mad they can't sell their own art and are jealous that a machine can draw better than them. I for one, welcome our new AI art overlords.

FluffyJackal:
Art was up till very recently regarded the most human of activities because of its intuitive bend.
What pisses some people against AI produced art is not the consequences for today but in 5 or 15 or 25 years time when AI will be doing all or almost all of the work including the creative part.

I kind of understand the art fags who hate this because I tend to dislike CGI animation, but it now has become practically the only animation in American feature films. And I could visualize a future where even scriptwriting could be left to a computer with only some final input by the studio head, if that.

Sure, that doggie cartoon was supervised by humans, and the backgrounds that the AI produced were corrected by hand, but to be honest and frank, those corrections could be considered superfluous: the untouched AI art could have made the final cut and no one would have noticed.

Now artists, the most expendable of professions, but at the same time the most «unique» are beginning to lose their uniqueness but have their expendability increased to 11.
Decades ago people used to think machines would steal their factory jobs. Smh. By the time your prediction about AI 'perfecting' art and script writing, there will be an entirely different creative profession of art out there that AI can't recreate. Point is, the creative waters are not stagnant. AI might become the tool to introduce new art content into the world, but it cannot ever replicate human creativity.

(Also my autistic ass disagrees that an AI could make an entirely flawless animation without human input. There's a reason people watch animations keyframe by keyframe for animation errors. 👀 Perfectly hits the dopamine center of our monkey brains.)

Same retarded cope & seethe happened when Photoshop first kicked in. Now everyone has it on their PCs & even phones.

I'll give it a few years, until government itself starts bitching, people will accept it.
The Future looking more and more like this

I can kind of understand being annoyed with the AI art. Some places had to ban all AI generated images because people practically spammed it because of how easy it is to produce. But on the other hand people are way to over dramatic about it. Most digital art it makes looks like generic anime girls drawn by a seventeen year old Amateur on Deviantart. And also a lot of people are using it for stupid shit like DSP in the style of Sailor Moon which isn't exactly a popular thing to commission.

I hope someone uses AI to make a script and story board for an animated epic and then turn the resulting incoherent shitshow into a nonsensical experimental film just to make all these twitter users look like fools.

Rule34 image boards where flooded with AI generated stuff.

It actually kind of interesting as at some point all of the art seamed to achieve "same face syndrome". Every one of them seamed to be using the same base body model, face and four posses.
Kind of funny that it took a bunch of horny neckbeards to show the limitations of AI art.

Got some more AI sperging

Mainly because of this video

If you're scared of AI taking any jobs in your or anyone elses lifetime then you're probably a shit artist that hasn't progressed past following the tutorials from how to draw anime books. If anything it'll improve the inudstry by forcing these hacks to either go out of business or develop their own style for once instead of copying Steven Universe, Rick & Morty, or Family Guy.

Twitter/tumblr artists have always feared AI and want to copy Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, Robot Chicken, Rick & Morty, SpongeBob, Adventure Time, etc. to please the industry. Just desperate to get hired to Rough Draft or Titmouse or any other big name studio.

The cope & seethe aside, these fuckers actually deserve the supposed AI Revolution that terminates the artfags & inkcels (it can't, it literally needs human element to work, & human art to create), just so these fucks who have all acted so uppity & cunty for almost a decade can dilate once & for all.

Also, Matt McMuscles is very close to getting his own thread one day.

Corridor makes some of the best fucking shit, that video is amazing (using software meant to remove light flickering in video to remove the AI's flickering is brilliant), I can't wait to see what other wild shit AI art makes possible, inkcels can seethe and mald

I honestly am more excited about a solo McMuscles lolcow thread at this rate.

I don't get it, what's wrong with the video? It has many flaws of course but at least there's some experimentation with new technology unlike the faggots who continue to draw the same bean mouth, uwu soft kawaii art style to the detriment of their talent (if they had any).
If anything I want ai to help with making animation easier so north american animation can finally get something better. The video is also edited by true and honest humans but whatever AI bad!
Also I love how that AI anime is centered around the AIs weakness: hands

I have a lot to say about all this but let me sum it up
  1. Notice that the vast majority of the anti-AI people are troons and leftards.
  2. The vast majority of them are the same SJW art shitters polluting the animation industry
  3. Some of them are genuinely worried about their job prospects
  4. Most of them probably wouldn't give a shit about this if other people didn't
I think the biggest reasons why these people are so against AI art is because it threatens them. It threatens their sense of mediocrity and control, because for ten years they've had a monopolistic control on Western animation and how it's perceived (see how many of those "grown men with a cartoon avatar talking about kiddy shows" have strong opinions about AI art) and giving everyone the ability to create their own shit eviscerates that control. Uh oh, people might start using this technology to make based stuff they can't shame out of existence!
The troons are especially guilty of this. They make their gender and their shitty cartoon opinions their whole personality and identity. Don't you even try to tell me that, at the very first opportunity, they won't be using this shit to create their own turbo-trooned out cartoons and edits to old cartoons. I think that's why some artists are trying to make this some dumbass woke issue ("digital colonialism" is the latest term I've heard, and it pisses me off because these idiots aren't raging when Westoids voice act anime or draw anime art themselves). They're trying to get ahead of the curve by making this out to be "diverse and amazingly talented people vs. rich white tech bros." Watch these idiots struggle to justify themselves when it comes out that something like 90% of people using generative AI are actually poor POC who don't have any other option while most of these artists are white men and white men pretending to be women. They're going to go too far one of these days and push their luck to the point they lose whatever sympathy they think they have. They're probably going to target some minimum wage nigger trying to bring his dreams to life and slander him as a spoiled rich white guy stealing from hardworking artists (when most of them just make shitty SJW lolcow art themselves) and then the curtains are pulled back and a whole bunch of niggers start calling them out as "racist white crackas" and they curl up and break down. What do the dangerhairs do? Call the nigger a thief? That'll go over well, surely.

Some of them like Miyazaki and Ralph Bakshi, I respect more. I think they genuinely don't like the idea of a machine creating cartoons because they did it the hard way their entire lives with some dedicated and talented teams. It rings of the craftsman looking at the assembly line making soulless mass produced products. They don't care that it's going to improve the quality of life for a lot of people because they genuinely care more about the artistry of it. But for most of the Woke Vanguard, it's just the latest shitty Twitter trend they can use to LARP as the totalitarians they desperately want to be.

I went and looked at the behind the scenes video.
Well look at that they actually needed human elements like actors with costumes for the ai to convert, computer guys, using 3d programs like unreal engine for backgrounds, along with editors/effects guys to make it move and look anime and a script. wow it's like the video needed a lot of human and creative drive to achieve that and it's not as simple as "le pushing button and get perfect and souless output immediately" that these anti-AI fags sprout. It's a lot of effort (less than actually drawing and painting of course) and work to make a flawed AI shit to look like a flawed but "decent" animated product.
I wouldn't call it drawn animation of course, it's just another cgi rotoscoping effect to me but it's impressive and has a lot of potential if this is used with talented and creative people. I get the fear artists have but many get so emotional and obnoxious about it. "digital colonialism"? Fuck off.
Also I'm not into the guys who made the video, they get too overbearing with the "yooo we reinvented the wheel yooo" posturing but I'm just pointing out that their output still needs human control and it's a long way before artists or human made art can be replaced.

You forgot the two other things, the vast majority are perverts and groomers and most of which copy the same formula of animation of DBZ, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Pokemon, Digimon, SpongeBob, Family Guy, Adventure Time, Rick & Morty, Simpsons, etc.

I couldn't agree more. I know this is starting to turn on the anti-AI spergs thread but it's really aggravating how these people act like cunts. I really dislike "tech bros" as in people who jerk off to how amazing their AIs are at vaguely replicating a generic style. But I'm not frothing at the mouth at anyone using AIs in any capacity, I'd prefer more stuff to be done fully by humans but I know that's not realistic for everyone to follow that so I don't act elitist and appreciate it more when people do go out of their way to handcraft everything. It's like NFTs all over again, people are acting self-righteous about something most people agree is silly and/or far from perfect.

Sperging about old shit here, but I just remembered when all the animators were going on strike because, God forbid, they had to work their jobs. So I looked at that whole "NewDeal4Animation" bullshit and I found this motherfucker in one of the videos:

The average modern L.A. activist "animator". You're looking at it.
