Even with a failed Kickstarter, the creator(s) just need to shop around more, or raise the money themselves. In the meantime, tweak things here and there since there's always room for improvement, or just make a webcomic to build an audience. Eventually, it may actually get picked up.

Bitch probably thought she could be a nobody and still make a fortune off a mid-magical girl concept.

And will still blame muh real world problems are the reasons why her bullshit is failing, pulling a complete DSP.

From what i understand, the creator of this project is a Disabled Chinese-American artist by the name of Marie Lum, who's worked on shows for Cartoon Network, Disney and Dreamworks.

And the reason she's disabled is because she suffers from a wide range of Medical Disorders.

But even then, i feel like this Pen Pals Forever show is just gonna be nothing more than another self-insert fantasy show like Owl House or High Guardian Spice.

I'm genuinely curious how she's able to get into the industry with that amount of physical issues in the first place, because it doesn't make any sense in the real world when these institutions have brutalizing work schedules that will crush the most crippled and mentally incompetent. It's pure lunacy without an causality of reason on how she gets away with it, unless she bribed her way to score that degree

you're talking like most of these show creators still have to animate their own work
I'm pretty sure she's fine since so much of CN's output is outsourced to Korea atm
(unless I'm misunderstanding how the industry works, which is possible)
 
Kickstarter is at 78k now but there's only 3 days left, I think it will be too little too late. This could be funny:

My guess is that she's pitched this around and nobody wanted it - if this somehow gets funded it will be a pilot that doesn't get picked up. If there ends up being a writer's strike costs are going to get cut even more and nobody will touch something like this.

Eh, Caillou is a little shit who deserves to get his ass kicked and be tortured in hell for all eternity, I'd personally say the Backyardigans or Curious George would be better influences on children (especially the former)

Most of American animation is animated outside of the country (mostly in Korea) so this could be done but I'm sure this pilot of hers will demand in-house animators and that could be a problem

If she really was an industry veteran she'd know that sometimes your pitch just flops. It happens. Not everything you do is going to resonate with audiences and that isn't a condemnation on you or your audience. Admit defeat, back up, retool and rework, and try again.
