Ridiculous excuse of a closed busybody who doesn't want to try out new mediums like comics on her own, which is unironically easier for any retard cartoonist to get into and make something scrappy and fun than it is to get into corporate showbiz.
I will never understand why these kinds of people want to get into corporate showbiz.

It’s a cesspool.

These type of people think they HAVE to have a Corp show to prove how much they have made it ( Much like the Owl House girl giving up rights to get the show on Disney instead of owning all rights on Netflix). It's rare breed like micheal Cusack and Zach Hadel that just makes shit and if it gets picked up it gets picked up. If not just keep putting shit out there

She must've known her campaign would fail.

That is so pathetic, but it makes sense. These people are always letting their egos get in the way of living fulfilling lives.

Honestly... if you want an Independent Cartoon that actually has an interesting premise and isn't just another cheap self-insert fantasy, i'd recommend Charlie P. Gavin's "Boxtown" fundraiser.
Link: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/boxtown-an-adult-animated-film-noir-comedy

It more or less feels like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but with a more adult twist like Helluva Boss. And i think it could make for a decent little show to watch.

Even if Tara Strong is in it apparently.

"I don't have the resources to draw comics"

Bitch you draw some drawings in boxes, and stick them up on the internet. What the fuck?
You're right, and it seems even more bullshit from experience... I was half-decent at both comics and animation, initially really wanting to do animation- but made myself learn comics more specifically because it was comparatively easier and less time consuming to do than somehow animating all my ideas as a single person. :|
(comics and cartoons are both absolutely ridiculous mediums in terms of process, but I think in the end, comics are probably the less-ridiculous of the two.)

Surprisingly enough, I'm guessing not everyone has enough industry connections and resources to make it so that their courses of action are either "become the creator/director of an animated pilot" or "hire a team to make comics for me" (+ some unspecified secret third option), instead of... Anything involving doing the bulk of the work on your own. Boggles the mind, really.

To elaborate on what @RazorBackBacon said six of seven posts ago, she seems to be an ideas person or even the project's facade, i.e., she probably (co)created the concept, (co)wrote its universe bible and perhaps three or four episodes, and is willing to do the public relations to sell it, but... she can´t draw crap nor do the boring minutiae required to get the project through, either because of a disability, lack of talent, lack of attention span, lazyness or all of the above and has to resort to an associate/employee to do the drawing even on a reduced scale such as comics.

That or she realizes she can't grift nearly as much money off of a comic....

Marie Lum is rather proud of sticking "disabled" on her Twitter bio, yet I distinctively recall her for a post where she was giving the finger to a defaced booth at a con that was doing AI generated waifus.

Said booth had done it the year before, and back then was seen as a funny curiosity. With the current discourse though, it suddenly became the in thing to trash and vandalize it, even if it actually predated AI generation going mainstream and being accepted previously.

So there you have someone who goes around calling herself a disabled artist, but won't do very large work herself and would rather have a team of suckers do it instead. Before you even ask, no, her solo work isn't even worth training AI with.

I have never seen anybody try to bring stigma to the real bane of the animation industry: Visual Development artists. My term, "VisDev parasites". I believe I am really the first one and a trailblazer (if you like to think about trivial stuff that's more important than politics!) These bloodsuckers usually take all the credit for an entire animated feature, and the workers who do the animation labor overseas don't even get a mention in the credits roll. You often don't even know the name of WHICH studio in East Asia what contracted for to do the undertaking. To the OP ("Life Is Hell...") of the thread, I made mention of this subject on a Balto fandom Discord chat room (full of Millennials) and they tried to defend staunchly that the parasitic relationship between boss and non-unionized animation worker was of equal value and work weight. I mentioned the rate of Japanese animators committing suicide working 600 hours a month to produce all kinds of animes (both great and shitty) and they tried putting words in my mouth and they said that the work of a VA (voice actor) is an art of its own measure and equal to the process of animation itself.

EDIT: I must mention that Mark Pudleiner is a fraud. I'm not just saying it. I did the homework, and the "Mark" dude is actually one of several clone alike family members who just impersonate one individual as a college professor teaching character animation at a for-profit arts school. Only one of them can draw at a decent level, not compatible with the magic of classic Disney animation.

...can you elaborate without instead talking about how you had a fight on Discord, maybe? :\
I'm curious as to why you're so adamant about this, but all I know from this post is "they take the credit of overseas animators and nobody believes me about it".

Well, your statement in quotes is not the base of what I was saying. And that's why my description is brief cause I'm not dropping anecdotes about my personal fights with something not relevant to KiwiFarms. I put this down because this is a cause I'm passionate about and it's a reality that should not be what it is. The OP of this thread brought up the problems with Millennials in the animation industry and I wanted to chime in my recent experiences in tangent related to the topic. I don't mean for these words to sound in a bitter tone but I am truly autistic and ain't have no sense in wording things right. I can only process informatics about the thoughts occurring in my brain. All of my opponents that were against me on the Discord were Millennials who think they can get their way all the time. I was also banned from Reddit last month for giving in my 2 cents just for telling people in the subreddit about animation careers in how to develop real animation talent like the Old Masters of classic films that was once common street knowledge. Cause they were very entitled persons. But you can ignore the last example, it's to support the negative reception I got related to the Discord fight.

I think this guy's been taking a few too many lessons from Noelle Stevenson when it comes to Religion...
Noel hated her parents because they where Christian... but still took there money.

Rad Sechrist Tweets feel so dramatic and out there that I can't take them seriously. I saw to many times how these religion bashers would eventually come clean how they "overexaggerate" there experiences with there family.

I searched "cult" on his profile and perused a little, and it seems he was born into the FLDS church. His tweets sound dramatic but from what I understand it actually is that crazy. That's the one where spiritual leaders are allowed to take child brides and such, it's pretty extreme and is still happening today in Utah. Kinda understandable that he'd sperg about it from time to time lol
