Ackshyually, it was based off of Captain Harlock (noticeably the coat he's wearing) and Starblazers (hence the Sun Incinerator). Becky Sucrose has all the subtlety of a brick to the face.

Blue Diamond's design is inspired by Leiji Matsumoto's way of drawing women too, iirc.

It's not a "Satanist" star, it's just a pentagram. Satanic stars are typically upside down, with the top point on the bottom:

I imagine it's because they operate under "at least we have each other" logic. They always see things in an "Us vs. Them" mindset, or an "Enemy of my Enemy is my friend", and vice versa.

Jody Schafer would’ve still been in charge. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t sacrifice Megas for modern audiences. The only issue I could see is getting some of the actors back to reprise their roles. David Deluise, Steve Blum, and Wendee Lee are still active but the other recurring characters were voiced by some notable celebrities or older veteran voice actors who have been less active in recent shows or passed away years after the show’s cancellation.

Goat’s VA, Scot Brutus Rienacker died from sustained injuries from a house fire, Alan Young, who voiced one of the members from of their Gatchamen parody, and Earl Boen (Captain LeChuck in the Monkey Island series) who played a character based on an old mecha anime are also no longer alive.
