no good shit comes out all the time like smiling friends and common side effects and invincible (fyi these are my highlights but they may or may not be your thing since this all revolves around subjectivity on what someone defines as good so results may varry and you gotta dig around for anything thats your fancy)
Right, I forgot about those with the avalanche of remakes, remasters, and other drivel. I have to finish Common Side-Effects (which has an atrocious art-style but surprisingly good writing so far), and Smiling Friends is genuinely good, if very short.
Invincible is technically not new but an adaptation of an early 00s 'book with the typical back-then inanity about "deconstructing superheroes" and whatnot that I don't like. Nowadays, this has gotten old and is quite common (ie: see The Boys, also from the 90s, or the Worm fanfic thing, or how even Superman can't even be good anymore without being humiliated first). If it's up to your alley, good for you, then.

The immature condescension is what gets me.

Funny how they want to call that other guy racist, when, if they knew better, they would understand the cultural differences WOULD make it difficult to understand Western humor, and the animators may not get the cultural nuances. Same thing happens to us Westerners all the time. But I guess acknowledging cultural differences is "racist" now, so I'll shut up.

Is there a specific word for this brand of smug retard that says the stupidest, most factually-wrong things possible with this delusional level of confidence? "Midwit" just isn't enough.

The Dunning-Kruger chart, aka "Mount Stupid".

(This technically isn't the "accurate" graph for it, but we don't talk about that.)

So you get to quote MLK when it supports your ends, but if I quote MLK to oppose your ends then I need to keep the Black Messiah out of my mouth?

Cool cool cool. Good to know what we're talking about.

Edit: spelling

I find it funny and suspicious that American evangelicals appear to hate K-pop demon hunters for not being seen as Hollywood and having hot women, rather than criticizing Hollywood for turning American animated movies into gay and pro-fat propaganda.

Stopped reading right here. Evangelicals are infamous for not understanding (or recognizing) oriental religions, and comparing a Western-animated movie about Koreans to anime is just cringe. I don't care that your average normie doesn't understand the difference because all they see is surface-level, Korean animated slop doesn't always equal Japanese animated slop.

But it is just as likely that this mom hasn't been fully paying attention to animated movies outside of Disney. Notice she called cartoons of old (i.e. cartoons from 30 years ago) "safe and silly", she literally cannot comprehend the different strokes of animation and of age demographics.

Your post is mostly correct, overall, this moment is not an error on their part. Christians, no matter the denomiation (Even the more heretical ones, no matter how much we wish for them to get straight with the belief) do not recognise those religions as something true. It should not imply loud, outright chastising (Rather sympathy and desire to help in finding the truth), but 1 John 22 has a verse with clear messaging:

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."

So while Evangelicals may stray away from main christian teaching, the statement you highlighted is not incorrect from our common religious perspective. We're not obliged to "understand" Eastern "Religions", which are mostly philosophies.

Lava pasta video summary: White people are bad. Museums are bad. Law enforcement is bad. Criminals are good because they are non-white. I love it when white breadtubers out themselves as racist by admitting they think non-white when they hear the word criminal. Yes Netflix Carmen Sandiego a horrible adaption that down grades one of the most iconic female villains of what made her unique in the first place. Leave to Netflix that race swapped a character who’s biracial to begin with to be more diverse. Not to mention Zack and Ivy went from being athletic to being fat. Netflix made Ivy so flat chested. She looks more like a boy than her brother.

At least, not only did they make a blonde a ginger, they kept the other ginger white! That's rare as of today.

What is the name of the showrunner
From what i understand, the person who helped develop this show was a guy named Duane Capizzi, who has had a pretty long track record when it comes to Animation, having previously served as head writer for shows like Jackie Chan Adventures, The Batman, Transformers: Prime, among many others.

And well... i'll just let his Twitter profile speak for itself...

On one hand, that is a very retarded statement on Pixar’s part. On the other hand, everyone screeching about Elio would have done great if the original version was released is ignoring or disregarding how not a single soul in the test audiences said that they would pay money to see it, hence why it was rewritten. Seems like it was doomed either way.
