This has been a thing even in the early 2000's, but the "Animation Meme Community" increased spread of artstyles from one person to many impressionable kids, in it's time. We now have to deal with the echoes.

It's one thing to watch art tutorial channels dedicated to teaching drawing skills and another thing entirely to watch "art commentary" slop and learn that way. Unless something about this changes, we aren't gonna make it bros.

I think the only "good" video I've seen from cartoon reviewers was one by cartoonshi about the "animation is cinema" community. And the only reason I tolerated it, is because most of the video is him talking about examples of that community (more specifically the animation community on twitter or in general) being full of man-children who enjoy watching stuff for children, and cannot comprehend tv shows for adults.
He also talks about a certain twitter account called cartoon base, who's mostly known for posting those "animation is cinema" tweets with 4 images of 4 different kids movies, and how if you criticize him, he'll go on his sock puppet accounts and threaten you (and sometimes send legal action)
and then before the end of the video he talks about genndey tartakovski's fixed and how everyone in that community basically said it was a pile of shit (i haven't watched fixed myself so idk what its like)

As ive mentioned before in this thread, I'm surprised that people in or around the animation community on twitter or in general haven't gotten a thread on the farms.

Except this is more entertaining when this is coming from a guy whose entire art portfolio is goonerbait and bait and switch memes to Metal Gear or the IMPALA. Sorry dude. You're five years too late. The reason why they preach is because they form some sort of post nut clarity or in some case want to be better than people which never works because you're trying to appeal to conservatives and your gooner base just want your porn. No one cares about if you sperg about how porn is bad. Then don't write or draw it.

It's like if I was known to draw horses but I got tired of that so I drew turtles and I sperg about hating horses. It doesn't make since because I've been making them for awhile now. And some YouTubers who are not doing so well had tried to switch content and end up as lolcows anyways. It's just funny watching these types of meltdowns and attempts at moralfagging.

I'm not saying don't draw NSFW I'm saying, don't act all high and mighty once you decide being a gooner is enough. You're attempting to reason with people who you cultivated with pixelated genitalia. It's never that deep. Furthermore, I never saw the appeal of shit like that anyways. Sometimes I don't really know most people adjacent in the Cartoon Industry so it's literal whos making themselves to be fools.

I used to think roller derby was kind of cool, we had a local team who showed up at city events and did cool shit on their skates. Now that every shitlib that vaguely feels like a woman is obsessed with it, I can't stand it. It's just another one of those irritating "queer" things that signals the person liking it has "the correct opinions." uggghhh.
