You know I'd love to actually see a game that would actually take the realities of a 3rd world country, make them either fantasy or sci fi with a solid shooter as a critic against 3rd world mindsets and mentalities. India would be almost perfect for this but I doubt it would go over well with feeble minded people.
I mean, given how Daisy Fitzroy's revolution immediately turns into murdering civilians, I'd argue the second half of Infinite is exactly that.

I *think* the intention of Infinite is a basic Horseshoe Theory "extremism bad" metaphor, but it's muddied by the fact that Columbia's racial puritan ruthless capitalistic nightmare state at least functions and isn't founded on the wholesale slaughter of civilians and children, whereas Fitzroy's alternative provably does not.

let's talk why the modern cartoonists are so insufferable.
All modern artists in general drank the koolaid (mainly fed to them by normgroids) that being an artist awakens your third eye and gives you some insight about the world no one has thought before and similar gay shit like that, they also tend to be autistic, so mix these two and you've got an autistic man with an ego that thinks his opinions in everything matters just because he knows how to draw pretty, thats why they are so obnoxious, the ones that arent like this you never heard off because they are busy drawing instead of sperging out.

Artfag here, can confirm. Do not go into any college-level art program if you cannot stand flaming homosexuality because every single faggot in there thinks their sparkleator ideas are the most special and unique ideas ever. Nevermind the fact that artistic persuits often involve spending long hours by yourself honing your skillset, meaning you don't have a lot of opportunities for your autistic spergatry to be deflated by grim reality.

One reason out of many why artists should have day jobs until about age 35.

It comes with being an insufferable prick, stroking one's ego and narcissism. Something we have in excess in today's society.

And the real concerning and/or confusing part about is that most of their entry level work in animation is not even great or unique enough to have this undeserved arrogance. It just reeks of insecurity knowing the level of “adult animation” that is being shown today in the wider lens.

"I made it, I just need to prove my bona fides for a few years then I'll be the next Miyazaki because I'm the specialest little boy ever Mommy told me so."

After reading this thread I now know a lot more. In the past I thought that the animation industry entirely collapsed because of the CEOs and bean counters like Zaslav who cut everything just because they wanted money. While a part of this is true, I now know that the creators of these shows kinda had it coming, and that I can't blame the higher-ups for pulling the plug. Because MAN! Are these artists such softskinned BABIES!

It really makes me annoyed as a digital artist who stepped into animation and digital art a year ago. Sucks that not only is the studio animation industry 100% screwed up by nepotistic retards, but also online animation is sorta screwed up too by these same people.
"Yeah Indie animation is totally going to beat big studios"
Glitch is a multi-million dollar company, supported by the already giant SMG4 channel. Don't give me that crap. Glitch isn't bad, I just think its SUPER SUPER overrated. However, with the bar is so low and Hollywood not producing much of value, naturally people laud all their shows as peak cinema. In my opinion, only TADC holds up to that title and even that has things I don't like (ex: the characters having these deep moments at the end while the rest of the runtime is slapstick. No I haven't watched the 7th episode.). Maybe Gaslight District too, but that's only a pilot right now. The rest are really forgettable and I don't see myself watching these shows ever again. Knights of Guinevere is okay but it's hypocritical that they have merch while also being the show against mascots and capitalism (, Meta Runner is meh (which is why I call it 'meh runner'), Anything I didn't name are 4/10s at best.
But of course, there are more indie shows! Helluva boss? Only good season is the 1st, we all know what's wrong with it and its creator. also it's more entertaining to make fun of it than to actually watch it. Punch Punch Forever? Heard it was pretty funny, I will go watch it. It's style is pretty distinct so it gets an edge. LokiIRL/Catching Up/Wastelandia? GOD NO. THOSE SHOWS ARE CHAFF INCARNATE MADE BY DEVIL SPAWN (YOUTUBE REVEIWERS). "I'll take 'Y2Kcore idealism and lame furry bait and #relatablehumour instead of interesting characters and humour' for 800$, Alex". I hope these 3 shows stay pilots forever. Smiling Friends? Very impressive, watched clips of it. Captures meta humour to a 'T.'
I came across as bitter, but indie animation is a mixed bag. There are some shows that just have simple, straightforward comedy and character moments, while others still are stuck with the spirit of Tumblr, and prosletyze over current year events. The other problem is that the bad indie pilots do nothing with their premise and kinda just communicate nothing(see Sunset Paradise/Loki IRL/Catching Up). I kinda just want a cartoon that I can sink myself into and just feel the laughs, kinda like Old South Park and Family Guy.

I know Dr. Livesey became a meme 3 years ago, but its still astonishing how good Treasure Island looks and feels. The best of old animation by far and mogs the hell out of indie shows and studio made productions. If I want to get serious about animation, my goal is to animate like this movie... However, that takes time, and money, and people, of which I only have 1: time. Maybe with AI inbetweening I could manage but that costs money too. And given I'm a relatively unknown artist, with no one coming to me for commissions, and with no job thanks to the torture chamber that is the job market, this'll take a long time.

Modern indie animators don't master the craft like people did before. Most likely, what they learned and practice was taken from some hobbyist who's popular on Tumblr, and not a person who knows the fundamentals.

They basically regurgitate an incomplete understanding of animation amongst each other - so the result reasonably becomes lackluster.

I feel bad for the Therapist who had to learn about Michael's personal life...

That's a lot of words to say "I'm unhirable and you schmucks are never getting that pilot."

Just do a flip already and make sure you're filming it. It's so much simpler than getting an animation project off the ground.

I didn't recognize the name and looked him up to see if I knew who this guy was, and this is one of the top things on his twitter:

So as far as I know he's not an animator, just a disgusting pervert who draws. Why can't these freaks keep their shit on a separate account from their fucking artist account?

He's someone who works in the industry and does diaper art on the side. His artstyle was recognized.
Someone from lolcow.farm kept spamming him on /co/. Just recently he worked on stuff like "The Day the Earth Blew Up" and "The Patrick Star Show".

“Using my body” to benefit others?
What is all this actually talking about?
Is this person being pathetically overwrought about working for other people or are they literally admitting to prostitution?

Also,
That's a lot of words to say "I'm unhirable and you schmucks are never getting that pilot."
What pilot is this?

My mistake, I thought this was the same guy behind that Boxtown project where the guy was hyping it up with celebrity VAs through IndieGoGo until he had a mental breakdown over some drama or whatever and put it on indefinite hold. These basketcases are all the same to me.

If your mental breakdown is so bad you're multiposting on Twitter, maybe hold it in, take your meds, and wait until your next therapy appointment.
While I get why they're being longwinded, I do kind of wish they'd try a little brevity in their sadposting. Just one tweet like "I've been having a hard time emotionally lately, I'm stepping back for my health, please respect my privacy" is all you gotta do. Same point, less effort.
