Well, "shockingly," Maduro is a leftist, and like most leftists who gain power, he abuses his position, makes his people suffer, and he got away with it until Trump came along to kick his shit in.

In fact, he is guilty of narcoterrorism, cocaine trafficking, and selling weapons that were used against the US, and yet everyone on BlueSky is claiming "Trump is the real bad guy," despite the overwhelming evidence.

they do have one point that isn't getting addressed as much: This isn't our first rodeo, there has been way too many times where the US government was directly involved in overthrowing Latin American regimes before, sometimes we got dictatorships because of it, and other times they pretty much just take over the economy of the country

I'm sure Venezuela will be in a better place now, but seeing a foreign country announce that they will be "very srongly involved" with your oil industry isn't exactly the most conforting statement to be heard....

At least there'll be food in your store shelves now.

One thing that needs to be said: this is far from over. Yet trannysky users put their arguments in such manner that you are compelled to be contrarian against them just to piss them off.

And to put things back on topic: one of the reasons why is how they keep putting crap in out cartoons and how they absolutely seem to make their flagship cartoons merely for themselves and their lackeys, not for an audience. Who wants to watch that???

I'll never stop laughing at the fact that Star Vs The Forces Of Evil is Daron Nefcy's CWCville and the reason she gave Jackie(who is based on her friend from highschool that she was jealous of for being more attractive) an ugly black lesbian girlfriend at the end is because she was mad that everyone wanted her to end up with Marco who is based on her husband.
 
The She-Ra Netflix reboot will be leaving streaming in February, due to the exclusivity contract with DreamWorks expiring, and I just want to take a moment to talk about how much I fucking hate Noelle Stevenson - sorry, I mean “ND” because that’s the name she goes by now that she’s a he/they.

And it’s not because I hate her work. Actually, I loved She-Ra. I loved Nimona and Lumberjanes. Noelle and I actually used to be tumblr mutuals a long time ago, back when she was still in art school. Then she made those doodles of the LOTR characters as hipsters and her popularity exploded soon after. I’ve been following her career since. It was so cool to see a female creator with her own (for the time) unique style, making stories about different types of female characters that you didn’t usually see (again, at the time). And it was cool to see one of my peers rise up from posting tumblr fanart to being a showrunner of their own.

So when she pooned out, it hurt in a way that it didn’t when it was some random. Because if you read that comic she made about her gender identity (it’s somewhere in this thread I think), it’s so obviously the result of her overthinking and being around a crowd of other genderspecials and wanting to fit in. Just…HOW can you make SO MANY stories of women and girls who don’t fit into a typical feminine mold, and then conclude that you yourself aren’t female, because you don’t fit that mold yourself. It felt like a betrayal. Like everything she wrote in her stories was a lie. Actually, girls, it’s NOT ok to be a tomboyish, grungy, not interested in makeup or fashion, or a lesbian! You’re actually a man instead! It’s so foolish and short-sighted. A great example of how the cult operates and completely changes a person’s brain.

Ugh. Fuck her, honestly. I’m glad She-Ra is getting pulled and I hope it never gets a DVD release.

It's real pitiful. And it shows how little they interact with normal people outside their own cliques because having interests or style that don't match your sex isn't special at all. When all girls on tumblr "arent like other girls" you gotta outdo them somehow... so you just start calling yourself a man. It's extremely embarrassing to be a grown ass woman doing this shit.

The healing process is slow and painful.

(And to be fair it’s very hard to sit and watch shows like that once I started noticing the patterns. I still think shows like She-Ra, Steven Universe etc have nice aesthetics but all I can think about when I see them now is how just how much the same shit is parroted in each one. That and Rebecca Sugar’s Ed Edd & Eddy porn. )

I just looked it up to see what the fuss is about, and it definitely looks like trash.

I did read the first half of Nimona years ago when I was 16, and I remember liking it back then. Though honestly, I probably wouldn't like it if I were to give it a re-read.

If I'm going to put things bluntly, I really hate Stevenson's art style. Even back when I read Nimona and liked it, I still thought Noelle's art was extremely unimpressive - looked like a diet flavored Adventure Time [and that's saying something, cause I was never a big fan of AT's art style either].

My God, this art has aged terribly.

It also really doesn't help that her characters look incredibly soulless when they're smiling. Ugh, I detest how corporate this shit looks.

Like seriously, everyone has the same fucking face. Dot eyes, angled "L" shape for a nose, and that lazy half-moon mouth. The head shapes may be different, but the fact that everybody has the EXACT SAME GODDAMN FACE is a serious crippling blow to Noelle's character designs. I don't care if people think it looks "cute", I think it just makes the characters look bland and lifeless.
