Do any of you guys remember that studio that attempted to make a fanmade sequel about the Total Drama Island cast but grown up back in early 2021?

Remember when Viacom gave them the boot and were forced to stop producing to prevent getting a cease and desist? I'm sure most of you don't remember the incident.

I was subscribed to the studio since early 2020 since I was getting back into the TDI series. Hearing about this project made me excited. Can't deny I was a bit sad upon them having to close it down but they did ""revive it"" a few years later. Not worth the watch but someone did reupload the original upload of the first (and only fully produced) episode of the series.

So, why am I bringing this studio up?

Well, I got this in my recommendations and I nearly wrinkled my nose from how Reddit-gold performative it was. Someone woke up and thought posting this was a good thing.

And look, they're doing the "Seek Jesus" stuff to boot despite probably hating Christians and treating them as evil Republicans unless they're politically viable! They checked all the boxes! You sir, have won the internet!

Imagine the first update you hear from a studio that's been MIA for nearly half a decade is a performative Reddit post that wouldn't feel out of place if it was sent into r/complaints by a bot.

Oh, and this was their response to a fan worried on where they've been.

I was going to ignore this as your standard lifeless lefty tantrum, but then I saw "fuck 8 episode tv seasons coming out every 4 years."

Like, are you serious? That's entirely because of leftist-backed entertainment work reform that means you can't lock your crew on set for 16 hours a day to shit out 26 episodes in 3 months. Bitch, that's you. You're getting mad at the mirror.

Now, Bacon is a Christian and most likely conservative as he expresses certain anti woke sentiments in his shorts although he isn't obnoxious like other anti woke channels.

Anyways in July of 2024 he made a short saying he wasn't going to watch Nimona because of the lgtbq stuff and gave the usually conservative's talking point that kids shouldn't be exposed to that kind of content
He didn't receive any backlash for this until a year later in August, some "animation is cinema" twitter user posted the video under a thread about videos that made you stop watching a youtube channel. The tweet blew up and this woke mob went and flooded his comments telling him to review Nimona.
Bacon ended up making a response video which was not a very good response and it was shat on by alot of people, the funniest part was him using Celeste gameplay footage.
The video got a lot of hate and he lost ten thousands subscribers in a week. There was also this retarded trend people on twitter did where they took his pfp and edited it to be lgtbq flags

After getting all this hate Bacon decided to take a break from Youtube, he would return a month later and he is still making videos.

If anything, most conservatives said that the tribalism and the kumbaya-ing the liberals do against anything “non-woke” actually confirmed their views that LGBTQIA is a cult even more. My only question is, why would he willingly play troonleste? Kek

So much for a “tolerant and inclusive” community, say one negative word and they want to kill you.

Nimona has always came off to me as a pretty astroturfed movie anyways, I remember when it came out and everyone and their mother was praising it and you weren’t allowed to criticize it. Now you basically hear no one talk about it now; or it’s at least been replaced with other things. The only praise I ever heard for it was for it’s push of gay shit and maybe the animation, but otherwise to me it never really was anything remarkable.

that’s why i never take the consensus of art seriously these days. i know what i generally like, and if it looks interesting, of course i will watch it.

ik im preaching to the choir with this one but fandom, esp animation guys, is generally just “socializing” with whatever’s current and forgetting about it months after it’s over or admitting “yeah… that had problems”. fuck that hype beast bullshit.
