Congrats on him, as for game grumps, I haven't watched them since probably 2017 maybe 2018, not that I religiously watched them of course. Also that image of meatcanyon and jontron together, hunter just looks so discomfored being around him.

Honestly I'm not American so I don't give much a fuck and not even particularly informed, BUT, from what I've seen regarding the whole ICE situation it's just shit libs being shit libs and not allowing the officers to do their job, they're illegal immigrants, if the government decides "sent them all back" I don't see why as an American citizen you would be so anal about it, but well, shit libs are not known for their ability to reason and think, specially not the cultist protest attending breed.

I am strongly in favor of employing leftist cancel culture strategies against individuals on the left, as such approaches tend to be more effective in that context. It is anticipated that they will turn against him once his extensive history of making jokes about rape, racism, and child abuse is brought to public attention.

I can help you understand how this arm of American politics works.
Individuals in the mob are indeed stupid, but this isn't an organic movement and the organizers are not stupid. The point of these "protests" is to engineer a foggy, unclear situation and try to get an ICE agent to make a mistake. Once that happens (or something approximating that happens) the propaganda arm and all of the leftists rally behind their martyr to justify the stuff they wanted to do anyway. The reason these people back it is because it grants them feelings of moral legitimacy. This tactic has worked in the past.
"American citizen" isn't a meaningful category for a pattern of thought. A lot of people are American citizens but think very, very differently from other American citizens.

It's the result of millennials cartoonists who grew up watching Toonami (and possibly picking up import videos at conventions) getting to reference stuff they like. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you really notice when the same examples keep popping up.

At least the animes they plagiarize have their strengths. Now it's the same beamouth thing for a decade, close to two decades now, and terrible stories overall. There's that thread about how Steven Universe basically poisoned the well, but still, I would have thought that suits and smart people would have noticed these cartoons won't be watched by anyone but their creators.

It depends on the show. SU got a spin-off for a reason, Gumball more so but I don't see people clamoring for a revival of every single bean mouth show out there.

Same for a lot of horror movies. Pulse/Kairo, Ju-on/The Grudge, or smaller names like Mirrors (originally a Korean flick) or Shutter. They even remade Oldboy with Josh Brolin. Now they're talking about a Crossed movie adaptation which I'm going to bet is just a rehash of the Taiwanese movie The Sadness.

America has a lot of insulation from foreign media and also a resistance to it (we hate subtitles lol), so lazy filmmakers can just repackage foreign stuff and sell it to the gormless fuckwits and nobody's the wiser.

At least from my understanding, the "smart" people aren't and the suits are operating on the Roger Corman philosophy of "if you make it for cheap enough it's basically impossible to not profit." That's why American animation looks like ass.
