I’m still waiting for the cunt to open her home to illegals. Hope people are tipping off Glitch. We know they are already pissed off about the faggots bringing Gaza drama into the amazing digital Circus. Especially when they tried hard to keep TADC popular with Russian and Ukrainian audiences alike.

I just found out about captain durag due to my youtube reccomended being flooded out of nowhere with shorts of black guys laughing at how it fucking pings every fucking stereotype shibboleth down to him having a fucking literal snow bunny sidekick.
The funniest thing i've seen because they knew exactly what they were doing. I don't know why people keep thinking these companies actually care about them because you're gonna continue getting captain durags and other nonsense on these weird months because they are trying to market things to you that is their job lol.

I said as much in the AAA thread, they literally got black people making cartoons and characters for black people, probably even voiced by black people, and it still isn't good enough. They just want to complain.
There was a similar discussion about Raya and the Last Dragon. Asian inspired story that had people of Asian heritage working on it, and it turned out like dogshit.

Sharing a background with your characters doesn't always mean you'll make them better.

Meanwhile Avatar Last Airbender done the wuxia genre better.

Well obviously, but how often do these people bitch and bitch and bitch about wanting every goddamn thing to be black, "for us by us," yadda yadda? They finally get it and they ain't happy with it. This is what they wanted, and they still don't like it, and it's not even because there's a lack of care, they just don't like themselves and don't want to admit it. If it was Captain Afro they'd be mad, if he was a generic superhero without lightning powers they'd say he was "too white," there's literally nothing anyone could've done to make the general black population NOT hate Captain Durag, because blacks just hate themselves.

Oh, but that's what I *love* about this. I see a lot of those TikToks seem to be implying this was "Disney's" (ie, the WHITE executives) fault. But it looks like black people were involved in this. And that statement sounds like the guy behind it was just drawing on his childhood, ie, the "Black Experience". Has their been any bitching from the black community about what he said? Sounds like an internal problem that has nothing to do with "da whites".

I never got the "acting white" complaint. The examples I've usually seen are being polite, or not loud and uncouth. Which is weird, because lots of cultures (not just white Americans) see being relatively soft spoken and generally courteous as just good manners, not "respectability politics".

You're right, and they're still stupid. It's a total bucket crab mentality, if one of us is a ghetto dumbass the rest of us need to be dragged down to that level.

In the next exciting installment, Captain Durag and his ally Taco-Teo will take on the villanous (And deathly pale) C. Racker and his environmentaly-damaging smoke detector factory. Tune in on February 29th to see the action!

The creator of Bluey is helping out Fox Animation for a new Adult animation show coming soon.

And here's the promotion for said Adult Animation, BTW how do you go from Bluey to this is beyond me.

That's just a human Bluey character lmao you cannot explain away those weird limb proportions otherwise.

While a lot of animators in the industry have gone "nuts" in recent years, I'd like to give Johnny Ryan a shout out for being one of the few that hasn't really changed all that much throughout their entire career. As of late he's become active again on Xitter and is publishing comics on his Patreon. one thing I like most about his work is that he doesn't really conform to current standards and has always stuck to marketing himself as niche. His work is genuine neutral edginess as opposed to something like nu-South P:ark which "claims" to make fun of everyone but is "secretly" biased towards boomer liberals. A lot of aspiring creators who want to dabble into that kind of thing can really learn a lot from him.

Johnny isn't just known for comics but has also worked on several animated shows, he created Nickelodeon's "Pig Goat Banana Cricket" and wrote for JJ Villard's Fairy Tales and Pete Browngardt's incarnation of Looney Tunes. While they aren't nearly as vulgar as his comics, there are traces of dirty humor hidden throughout. Most notably in how characters get hurt. LTC especially is a pretty faithful incarnation of the old Looney Tunes shorts but with a mix of Ren and Stimpy styled slapstick

As of late Johnny delved into indie film-making, with Todd Rohal adapting his comic "Fuck my Son" which I can't post pages of here for obvious reasons, but basically if you've seen the art he usually puts out, it's a live action version of that only with the limitations of real life
It might be off-topic for this thread, might not, but I thought that I'd mention a creator positively for a change as I mostly just talk about those I dislike. If you are into underground comix/animation and haven't heard of him, I'd highly recommend checking Johnny's stuff out. Prison Pit and Angry Youth Comix in particular hold up very well
