Poor spongebob who started out as a labour of love now being a symbol of the cartoon industry and all its greed since Nickelodeon is quite literally puppeting its corpse now that Stephen Hillenburg is too dead to protest :(

I also mentioned it in the TADC thread, but in many countries minors might not actually be allowed into the theatre for the Amazing Digital Circus Finale movie.
Taking Germany for an example, if their OWN local committee hasnt rated the movie yet, it is effectively considered 18+. And their 3 highest ratings are 12+, 16+ and 18+/unrated. Indie movies also tend to get a delayed rating, sometimes only getting rated AFTER release.

For their 16+, 18+ and unrated movies, NO people under that age are allowed in at all, not even with supervision, and they usually check ID's. For 12+, no under 6's are allowed in, and 6-11 year olds are only allowed in with their parent, or with another adult only if they have written permission from the parent. The TADC film will most likely get rated 12+, 16+ or unrated.

And checking the theatre sites, many tickets have already been bought in Germany without a rating being out yet, a lot probably by parents especially for the mid-day german dub showings. So im unsure how many of these ticket holders will actually get to go...

Iirc there was a story in Playboy that was about state enforced homosexuality where the protagonists brother is a straight guy who acts like a catty homosexual with a real family on the side in order to rise through the social ranks. Iirc the story was made before AIDS.

It is not well thought out. Homosexuality in the short story was a method of population control (I believe this was written after population bomb, the book that inspired Soylent green and had a shit understanding of everything). The entire oppression element is more to how deranged the society is and how it was imposed top down. The protagonist is a straight man, but it’s just so under developed you can’t really enjoy it as weird sci fi. It’d be like if the elites of a society were so self-conscious that they tried to normalize their degeneracy or odd behaviors by trying to normalize it via a police state.

I do want to clarify I read this for a college class that went over various magazines and alternative media. Playboy actually did have well written articles because the smut allowed them to basically get away with almost anything. I took a lot of weird college lit courses because of a scholarship requirement.

Wasn't a plot point in the Forever War book that homosexuality was basically state-enforced/encouraged to maintain population control? Despite being embroiled in a long, well-waged war, more manpower is needed. Many early sci-fi books had this idea that there would be overpopulation...

Shinsekai yori (From the New World) did this for the youth to placate them (because the psychic human population adopted the ways of the bonobo) until they would get married off into hetero couplings to have children. The main kids who discovered the dark secrets of the past were horrified to learn their homosexual acts were not real connections and the psychotic breakdown one girl had over it eventually led to her running away with another boy who didn't fall for the state-enforced homo and their untimely murder after their child was born. Thing is, it was just a background detail and was never made main focus nor was ever brought up again despite the attempts of anime fans to claim that series has "positive" LGBT rep.

The main creative behind this is Molly Ostertag (now goes by the dumbass name of Lee Knox Ostertag), Noelle Stevensons (from the awful She-Ra reboot) pooner wife that used to cuck her (with a man) with her in the house, BTW

Wouldn't it be funny if it got axed because its now considered problematic to have white people tell black stories instead of letting black creatives do it? It was in development late 2019 to mid 2024, so peak BLM time.

"Now" they've been on this shit since 2016. It only applies to poors writing original fic and fanfic, not heckin woke industry darlings!!1 Consistency of thought is not these mutants' strong suits.

The short of it is tax jurisdiction hopping, tax loopholes and corruption (not exactly the best TL;DR, I suggest to watch the video for more).
