Honestly, it looks pretty wholesome. It reminds me of the OG Proud Family. This guy is drawing inspiration from a lot of 90s black sitcoms too, many of which I enjoy. Honestly, best of luck to him. I find this premise a lot more endearing than the serialized melodramatic lgbt loreslop indiefags have been churning out nonstop these days.

I'm blaming art schools for encouraging such shit artstyles, whether by beating it out of their students so hard they reverted out of spite, or by not telling their students they're shit at art because "individualism is our passion" or whatever. It's one of the two, always.

What makes things worse is the colours are too dark and muddy. It’s hard to see their facial features unless they’re light skin. The eyes are the worst part of their design for me. I recall Tariq being inspired by little lulu for his art style but it seems he’s deviated from it in recent years.

I was doodling beanmouth abominations at work the other day as a joke and I was getting kind of concerned at how easy it all was.
I miss the days of using cartoons to make fun of shit and do goofy shit and everyone would get a laugh at it. But now a cartoon is made that has abandoned what made cartoons so entertaining for millions of people in the first place.
I can't believe someone could possibly gaynigger-fy Jem and the Holograms more than the shitty comics. It offends me in a particular way, because for some time I have harboured a dream of someone doing a serious reboot of the show after such a big success of Kpop demon hunters. Girls love musicals, and Jem had this special old shoujo-esque charm to it, with backstage shenanigans and silly overdramatic plots. It could be both fun and engaging. But nooo, why bother, when you can just add niggers and dykes instead of working on writing something for kids. Just who on Earth thought it was a good idea—
