At this point I'm not surprised if people just rant about TTG just for the sweet $$$$ YouTube money anyway.

It's not really hard to make a rant video about TTG in the first place, just watch one episode, rant about how it's unlike the original, make excessive anger and be done with it. Not only that, videos like this are still popular.

Not only that, apparently she was the "first" Powerpuff girl, with her creation happening before Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were even born.

There is LITERALLY nothing wrong with being critical animation and caring about the goings' on of Western animated television even when you're not specifically its main target audience.

Kids will enjoy whatever the fuck is put in front of them most of the time. The true indication of something doing a good job is whether or not said animated works are able to appeal to not only children, but those outside the intended demographic. You can have clever writing and smooth, emotive animation whilst still entertaining kids (as shows like Gumball have more than proven). People also spend a lot of time paying attention to Cartoon Network because its one of the few major providers of Western animation left. This isn't like the anime industry where you're getting about 20 new series (alongside several movies and OVAs) every couple months. If you like animation and want something that isn't anime, its slim pickings, so its easy to latch onto and care about (sometimes a bit too much) the goings on of companies like Cartoon Network.

Their reactions when they realise Bliss' retconning as the first Powerpuff Girl (in the name of progressiveness) makes the other three an accidental whitewashing. XD
 
I don't really get offended by CN showing TTG over and over again because my daughter likes it and leaves me alone when it's on, and that's all I ask for from a cartoon channel. However, am I wrong in thinking that OK KO looks like something even Newgrounds would shit on?

I mean, there's not a high bar for western animation but it's so fucking ugly. How does this shit get on TV other than the fact that it probably takes about $30 to make an episode.

Magiswords is slightly better but not by much.

This shit makes 60s Hanna-Barbara cartoons look high quality.
 
Those Mighty Magiswords characters look really expressive and consequently are fun to look at. They have these rounded, exaggerated faces and expressions without having any one part of the body looking like its taking up space just to take up space (like in the OK KO screenshot), so it avoids looking grotesque. The girl's hair and eyes also gives off an almost animeesque appearance. I like it.
The show has a bit of a Slayers vibe to it.

Now I can't unsee the Kricfalusi influence. No idea how the show is so if it uses the same humor, that crocodile's going apeshit.
 
Yeah, it's more of the animation in Magiswords that sucks, not the drawing itself, but I shouldn't have compared it to OK KO because it's nowhere near as bad.

I literally have no idea who OK KO appeals to. Even my kid, who will basically watch anything on CN, doesn't like it.
