Cat vomiting issue

I bought him cat pate - two cans, a day's ration each - and it was soupy consistency and he's ignoring it.
This is the best option, though if the cat is ignoring canned food they might have something upsetting their stomach. Another thing that hasn't been suggested yet is to also take him outside and under supervision (if an indoor cat) and let them graze. If cats have a major stomach upset for whatever reason, they will eat grass. Its like a human eating an ass ton of celery. It doesn't do anything nutrition wise, but its rich in fiber that moves literal shit through.

I know they eat grass ("zoopharmacognosy"). Good suggestion. I can't let him outside (I live in an apartment) but I could rip some up and bring it to him. Might not be what he wants.

Physically dig it up roots and all and bring into the house. Set them on a plate. Also make sure there is plenty of water and make sure your cat is actually drinking. If you aren't observing any water ingestion or peeing, you may have to consider a trip to the veterinary emergency doc. The biggest killer with any form of food poisoning is dehydration. This is true for both humans and cats. If that is too much, get one of those ear irrigation bulbs from CVS and use it to force water down your cats throat. Prepare for pain of course.

This last piece of advice is of course extreme measures. I don't know what your cat is doing as I am just a retard on the internet.

I can't say as I've noticed what his water intake has been like. He normally drinks a lot from his water fountain. I know I saw him pee this morning.

I'll go try that with the grass. Might have to go buy a trowel.

You can use a dinner spoon. Its not rocket science. You just want to present the scent of earth and the scent of grass at the same. If you just threw a bunch of green shit in front of the cat they won't do anything. Also make sure the grass is standing up. They like to bite the tops off.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned the food size. If it's smaller pellets than he is used to, the cat might not be chewing it properly, which would upset the his stomach.
If he's not chewing at all, then he might have a toothache causing pain.

I overestimated the size difference - looking for problems, you know - but I did see lots of single flakes like he hadn’t chewed at all.

But he seems to be eschewing all food.

You can buy a cat grass kit and grow your own. I'm thinking of getting some. When I moved to a second floor apartment my cats no longer had a backyard to go in while I hung laundry. It was the only time I let Lola out. She liked to chew grass and dig holes.

He have any pain related issues?
My oldest cat has a bad hip and her pain makes her puke at times if I miss her daily medicine.

No
This cat is five years old and was healthy and normal before Friday

Today I changed his litter and cleaned out his water fountain and I've yet to see him use either.

The cat pate I bought was straight up soup. I served it anyways. Is that a sign that that FOOD is spoiled too? He's been sulkily lapping at it a little, ignoring it for hours, going back. Stupid shit is sitting by his water fountain just staring at it.

I would say so long as he is lapping at some moisture you should be okay until Monday. It really could be anything. Possibly as minor as a furball getting into the small intestine instead of out the throat.

He likes to lap at the dew on the window and has been going especially crazy on it this morning.
I'd lean into that. Maybe set wet plates on the ground. The big thing to avoid over the next day is dehydration. If it is just a nasty case of Food Poisoning it should pass on its own. If by Monday he's still refusing normal food and water, definitely go to the Vet.

I'm not sure I trust this scams guy, and the product is two fishy.
Petco is the best place in the USA for finding decent food for animals. Yeah, they are a big box store corpo, but they know what they are doing, and their front line managers in my experience are very knowledgeable outside of a legitimate zookeeper. Honestly if you have ever been IN a Petco the stores literally are Zoos with several aisles of aquatic, reptiles, avians and mammals alive and in habitats. They drive PETA, and the SPCA is still being obstinate about putting Kittens in the adoption corner (Criminal). but all the animals I have seen in their store seemed very healthy.
