Causes of Transgender Murders by Year - Reasons for murders of trans people, monitoring hate crimes

Starting a project for the curious like me.

This is for crimes with stated motives or enough details to infer what type of crime it is. My current source for names by year is GLAAD, feel free to add details or add victims. Murders with no clear motive or very scant details will not be included.

For the start of this thread, I'll be checking 2024 & 2023 for the United States only. Feel free to research other years, find more victims, or add details to each case. You can also add countries outside of the USA if you want.

Tee Arnolds, gunshot wound, not suspected of hatecrime.

Nex Benedict was ruled an accidental overdose. Nex was neglected by Grandma Benedict. This was all over the farms, will not continue.

Kita Bee, hit and run.

Honee Daniels, hit and run.

Kassim Omar was called slurs and shot by teens after a confrontation. The injuries were from 2022 and killed Omar this year. This one can be marked hate crime, I believe.

Dylan Gurley, currently classified as a personal dispute but could be classified as a hate crime. Gurley was arguing with the murderer about the murderer's sexual orientation before being killed. This could be a personal beef still, as the murder's own sexuality could have been a touchy subject and the motivation would be less transgender and more of a personal argument. Will add to it if motivation is further divulged.

Righteous TK Hill, murdered by cousin after argument as cousin was abusing Hill's generosity. Cousin was an asshat.

Pauly Likens, teen brutally murdered after sexual encounter with 29 year old deranged pedophile. Not a hate crime, a sick fuck crime. All these murders are tragic, but this one is especially awful.

Liara Kaylee Tsai, murdered by ex-partner. Passion related crime.

Tavy Dior Thomas, killed by partner in fear of relationship exposure. Is "I'M NOT GAY" a hatecrime? I am legitimately asking.

Jazlyn Johnson, shot by friend. He maintains it was an accident, hysterically crying he accidentally shot his friend, currently being charged with murder. More details as the trial commences.

Andrea Doria Dos Passos, open investigation. Dos Passos was homeless and released on a 4 year probation for a violent offense. Three men beat Dos Passos to death, surprising the sleeping Dos Passos. This could be anything from personal beef to gang violence to random acts of violence against the homeless.

Starr Brown, killed by coworker. Coworker has a history of violence, turned himself in.

River Goddard (Nonbinary), murdered by sick fuck boyfriend over alleged infidelity. Very much the boyfriend being fucking insane.

Alex Franco, armed hold up gone wrong.

Diamond Cherish Brigney, murdered by a man without a motive released. They likely knew each other.

Redd/Barbie, trans woman killed in Chicago. A fellow trans woman was injured during the shooting. The case remains unsolved because Chicago is a city of incompetent fuckups. I don't know if I need to elaborate on Chicago's govermental problems more than that.

Unique Banks, possibly murdered for being transgender, but likely murdered as part of a shooting + robbery from a teen felon with other burglary related charges. Chicago is a city of fuckups, we may not know details if ever.

Ashley Burton, attempted robbery victim, then murdered when Burton did not comply.

KC Lee Johnson, murdered by William Hicks. Johnson met Hicks online and Hicks proceeded to rob, kidnap, & murder Johnson. William Haven Hicks has a long rap sheet including assault & animal abuse.

Imanitwitaho Zachee, or Zachee Imanitwitaho. Sources conflict about the order of the name. Zachee was murdered by a coworker, possibly for being trans. Murderer turned himself in but claims he was not guilty.

Maria Jose Rivera Rivera (not a typo), domestic dispute.

Cashay B. Henderson, crime of passion. Murderer given life sentence.

Manuel “Tortuguita” Esteban Paez Teran, notable for being the first enviormental activist killed during a protest on USA soil. Currently in dispute, but so far it seems the people Tortuguita was protesting with had guns and shot first, and Tortuguita likely did as well.

Tasiyah “Siyah” Woodland, two suspects arrested. Officers do not believe it was a hatecrime.

Rasheeda “Koko Da Doll” Williams, shot by teen who was aruging with Williams. Williams was notable for releasing a documentary about black trans sex workers called Kokomo City. I suggest kiwis might be interested in it.

Banko Brown, shot while allegedly shoplifting 15$ worth of candy from Californian Walgreens. Charges were dropped as police say the security guard had reason to believe he was in danger, but the security guard is facing charges related to concealed carry. Brown was unarmed at the time of the shooting, and was also homeless.

Ashia Davis, murdered by Carlos Lamar Scotland. Met in a hotel room, seems to have been an internet date gone wrong. Scotland had a mental competency evaluation before trial and was deemed fit to stand.

Jacob Williamson, murdered by sick fuck Joshua Newton, along with his accessory to murder girlfriend Victoria Smith. Williamson and Newton met on a dating app, decided to meet, then Newton stabbed Williamson 37 times before disposing of Williamson's corpse. Newton was 25, Williamson was 18.

DéVonne Ja'Rae Jhonson, shot while allegedly attacking a security guard with a screwdriver and fire extinguisher.

Luis Ángel Díaz Castro, Puerto Rico, murdered by abusive ex-partner the day the ex was release from jail. The murderer had also robbed a store on the same day he murdered Castro, a busy asshole.

Jean Thomas Butchart, an unfortunate victim of a spree of terror by one crazy fuck in a trailer park.

Sherylin Majorie, murdered by Jose Mendoza-Espinoza, whom Majorie was having an affair with. Mendoza-Espinoza claims Majorie was going to tell Mendoza-Espinoza's wife about the affair if Mendoza-Espinoza did not give Majorie cash.

YOKO (YOUONLYKNOWONE), hit and run by a man in a stolen vehicle who was later arrested.

Chyna Long. Long's murderer is suspected to be Antonio Currin. Long's murderer killed Long while wearing a mask, but Currin fits the description. No motive given yet, might have been a hate crime, but could have been a robbery.

While compiling the 2023 list, all murders in the Chicago area have had unidentified motives and scant details. I'd like to thank the city of Chicago for being massive fuck ups in general, not just in investigating black trans women's murders.

London Price, sadly murdered in front of Price's grandmother. Anthony Peyton was a partner as well as someone Price took in off the street, they had an altercation and Peyton pistolwhipped and shot Price.

*Shandon Floyd's death has been cleared of being a murder, but GLAAD still posted Floyd's name. Floyd's family declined to give the details of the autopsy report, sadly likely to be a suicide.

Savannah Ryan Williams, shot by Damarean Bible. "Bible later allegedly admitted to investigators that he shot the victim after a sex act, saying she 'made him feel suspicious.'" This one can likely be filed under trans panic, making it the most likely to be a hate crime so far.

Meghan Riley Lewis, shot during an altercation. Brian Delene was delivering food to the apartment complex Lewis lived in.

"He was convicted of second-degree assault and use of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime but was acquitted of first and second-degree murder by jurors following a seven-day trial in Harford County Circuit Court." Farmers will find the picture used for Lewis to be amusing.

Shelby Lexus Riddick-Walker, died in a head on crash. The driver has been sentenced 12 years for DUI manslaughter. A tragic unintended killing.

Camdyn Rider, shot while 8 months pregnant by sick fuck fiance in a murder-suicide.

Dacoda “Codii” Lawrence, hit by a car. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, it looks like involuntary manslaughter.

Alexa Alex Andreevna Sokova, referred to in article by legal name Nicholas Mitchell, murdered by Robert Lang on a crime spree with his accessory to murder girlfriend. Police say it was a random killing by assholes, not a hatecrime.

Amari Reid, murdered while driving with Kejuan Richardson. The alleged killer was found dead with a self inflicted gun wound, so no motive is known.

As a bonus, 2022 had Nepali born Kylie Monali murdered by a cellmate. Monali was in jail for involvement with a 2008 murder, and was incorrectly put in the 2023 section by GLAAD. 2023 is when Monali's family filed a lawsuit.

Fun fact, Wikipedia page for transgender murders used to list almost every case of a tranny dying regardless of the fashion as "hate crime", until someone higher up realized 99% of the deaths do not pass the hate crime smell test and in a rare display of sanity reigned in the tranny power jannies and cut the page to 1/20 of the size.

I don't think that should be classified as a hate crime, if they were in a relationship. Then it's more a 'don't reveal my illicit lifestyle and damage my reputation' type crime. The killer doesn't hate trannies, but the tranny is less important than what the killer thinks he stands to lose.

If it's an (attempted) hook-up and the killer kills the tranny out of disgust, that seems more like a hate crime.

If someone says to them "Stop being trans!", it counts as a hate crime. If someone detransistions, you've spiritually killed a trans person. Their soul has been reclaimed by satan, and without proper guidance, will not be able to reach enlightenment again and the detransitioner will be forced to hell because of the non-believers egging the detransitioner on. If the choice was made consciously, then the detransitioner was a heretic in disguise and no one spiritually died.

So physically, no. Conversion-wise? Yes.

These deaths, most actual sad events of people's lives being cut short, should not be marked as genocide to make everyone panic. Trans people can keep cis people focused on them if they're genocided, trans people can keep other trans people from rebelling against each othrr by shrieking their opponents will kill them. If your friends are assholes but your enemies will kill you, you stay with the assholes and bend to them whether you like it or not. Panic makes things worse. Trans people dying by their own hand is a larger concern. See this study from the UK:

There is this report from the UK that talks about trans people more likely to be killed by outside factors. HOWEVER, this means suicide, homicide, car accidents, and the like. Figures are sketchy, but currently the trans murder monitoring project has 13 for the UK. Over all time monitored. Brianna Ghey is the most recent murder, and there have been years without a trans murder in the UK. External violence is more likely to happen as result of an accident or by their own hand. The report also says that trans people are more likely to die from accidental poisoning, and I admit I don't know what counts as such.

Living in fear of genocide and violence can contribute to negative thinking. Shrieking you will be dead any day or that you'll kill yourself as soon as your hormones are cut will induce an air of fear and panic, and can influence the more susceptible ones to self harm or suicide. But people shrieking this out don't care, they just want their demands met NOW NOW NOW NOW.

Counting hit and runs as a hidden violent statistic is misleading. We don't know if it's a murder or a genuine accident, and usually it is the later (bad driving + fear of losing your license/no license or threat of deportation if living illegally in the USA = people speeding off in fear).

Google's "Sheets" is pretty good for basic charts and lets you store and select data readily. For charts on the fly, I like Meta-Chart. Both are free.

Edit: Google "Slides," also on Drive, lets you make charts as well for free.

Trannies die in the same manner a lot of other men do, big shock: fight turned into murder, car accidents, overdoses, suicides, gay lover not wanting you to talk about it, drug bullshit...

A lot of their deaths are more about the overlap between trannies and their involvement in things like drugs and living among ghetto trash than them being trannies. I also consider "killing gay lover about to black mail you" more a crime of passion than a hate crime. A hate crime would be doing it because and only because they're a demographic you hate. Such crimes are actually very, very rare.
