The left can't stand the right having any platform to speak freely. X isn't even all that right-wing, and their still seething.
1. There's nothing, NOTHING, that an extremist hates more than a moderate. They don't even hate "Nazis" as much as they hate "Centrists" -- at least a "Nazi" is useful to them as a target and an example to drive the left further left. A centrist might go rightward instead of leftward, or pull leftists away from the extremes.
2. The leftist illusion REQUIRES that no one be allowed to disagree with them. Disagreement is a moral failing, as you could not possibly disagree with leftist beliefs in good faith. Any public discussion of disagreement threatens this illusion.
3. Political organizing is a force multiplier and a MASSIVE amount of lefty work goes into making damned sure organizers and leverage point influencers are prevented from ever gaining any say in the cultural discussion. X no longer playing along with their efforts to disrupt these nescient networks is devastating to them.
4. The entire point of the left's current process is to slowly normalize the cultural changes they have made since 1950. This has accelerated as various marxist influencers (USSR remnants, China, Israel) perform color revolutions on the West, which has necessitated some pretty insane normalization efforts. Normalization requires all other cultures, opinions, facts, etc be hidden or destroyed outright so that the next generations get used to the left's "new normal."
5. Without the ability to hide the worst of the left -- remember, the worst of the left aren't commies, they're commie pedophiles who openly oppose the idea of parents defending their children from being ass raped by horny transsexual men -- people (moderates, center-leftists, etc) are made aware of their madness and it drives them away.
So yeah, it makes sense that they hate Elon's X. It's a real threat to the artificial zeitgeist they're pushing on the rest of us.
