Chainsaw Man - Peak Fiction in the making

Seeing Denji jump for joy was too cute for me.
and may the best girl come
Denji's jump for joy when Makima offered a date with him unfortunately made me remember this

I think the only girls he’s shown to be turned off by in terms of wanting to fuck are Kobeni, boring people, and control freaks after Makima as of Part 2
I've always wondered why didn't he just kill Makima when she was reborn as another person, I mean she's still the Control Devil but in the body of a child. It's like asking to kill baby Hitler/Stalin, wouldn't you kill the person who you know is a threat to millions of people?

Because she’s not the same person anymore. “Makima” is dead, but “The Control Devil” is not. Like, she’s not gonna grow up with Makima’s memories or tendencies or anything like that.

Quite literally "The Devil You Know", New Makima is a blank slate that can be raised for good, killing her will just respawn her either in hell or someplace else where she'll likely be a massive threat. And eating her again will run the risk of destroying the concept of control, that can break apart reality.

I reread the whole comic again, and it reminded me that they ended season 1 in the perfect place to troll the audience and I can't wait for the meltdowns from unspoiled anime only fans when season 2 comes out lmao.

In a good way of course. It only gets better. What a ride.

Like it's gonna be that easy when there's that plot thread hanging about Power coming back, and Past Devil is probably a giant asshole.

I mean, that was kinda the point of Power’s death.. “I’m gonna let myself die to save you, but next time we meet, I won’t be me anymore, so please try and be my friend again in the off-chance there’s at least some form of lingering part of me still there.” Kinda like with Himiko and the Ghost Devil with that cigarette but.

I know it's futile to try to predict Fujimoto, but on a meta level, what I said feels like the exact type of insane plot twist he'd set up.

my little denji can't be this responsible
asa is actually a weirdly good love interest for denji, if that's how things are really going

I do have some worry Denji will die at some point but Asa is really great and I really enjoy her.
Not really an issue. Its been long established that hybrids like Denji are effectively immortal. Guy's unkillable. As long as he has blood, there's someone to pull his cord, and his demon core remains intact.
