Just had a plastic chair (single piece, fixed) disintegrate on me after making bad noises when I rocked back and forward for the last several weeks. Many plastic shards exploded out, very messy.

Made me think. What is your least favourite chair type to fail on you? Personally, I find the office chair where a leg on the base breaks the most annoying. A lot of money wasted over a very cheap plastic part that could simply have been built more sturdily.

My least favorite chair type to fail on me is whatever one I'm currently sitting in, and the worst type of failure is an uncomfortable design. An uncomfortable chair is broken from the moment it's created to the moment it disintegrates. Special shoutout to miserable pieces of shit of like these:

Half back chairs: great when you want to hurt your full back, half as fast.

I don't know what they call these, but to me they're "trap back chairs." They look like you can rest your back against them, but the moment you put any weight on them they start to deform like a slingshot. The back never feels solid no matter how hard or how soft you lean on it, so you end up tensing your back muscles the entire time trying to find a spot where you can rest without breaking the chair or tipping over. No such spot exists — trying to use the back at all will leave you trapped in a purgatory of shifting discomfort until you finally stand up.

How fucking fat are you guys? "I was tipping back in it", sure Jan.
My least favorite chair incident was when I was at a ceremony with those metal folding chairs in rows. The fatass in front of me broke his, fell backwards, and the chair hit my leg and immediately bruised the shit out of it. The fat fuck didn't even apologize.
