I find it hard to believe that Bob, who's been in the reviewer racket for so long, is in a position to call scuttle about Channel Awesome's not-so-awesome underside "enlightening," as if hearing about it for the first time.
When you think about it, did Bob even pay attention to the TGWTG cliche until today?

Because if he's acting with this much surprise, he probably just barely heard of them, if not this being the first time.

Or at the very least, he's (trying to project) being consoling in light of this newly revealed sexual ookiness.

He comes across just as sincere as animation veterans who acted SHOCKED when the John Lasseter stuff came out to the public.

Man, I can't wait for Spoony to log into Twitter and chime... oh, yeah...

Since he most likely cut all ties with most of the people in that thread, and he probably said some things in this thread earlier about the shitshow that was those anniversary movies, I wanna hear @LordKaT 'S opinion on the spaghetti being spilled.

Why I'm sorry, sir. These are the same faggots that shunned me, called me a liar, said I don't deserve any exposure, and treated me like garbage after I spilled the beans.

They can go collectively fuck themselves.

Doug including rape jokes in something tweenagers at the time were probably going to watch
In a post-#MeToo world, I wonder how much trouble Doug can get in for that.

And the obvious rebuttal, of course, is "It's a joke, and everyone involved the shoot should lighten up." But one of the jobs of a producer is to make sure everyone involved in a project is comfortable, and if they're not to resolve or compromise on the issue.

That's admittedly somewhat less of a concern when the talent is earning pennies on the dollar and desperately needing exposure, but it's probably why Doug will never graduate beyond his level despite his ambitions. Because at a higher level, you can't count on people letting things slide.

also :autism::autism::autism: for Doug including rape jokes in something tweenagers at the time were probably going to watch

>implying tweenagers don't make far edgier rape jokes on a daily basis amongst their friends

c'mon old man, stop for a second and think about how much of a little edgelord you were at 14 and stop pearl clutching.

The problem with this is that Doug's content was aiming for a far younger audience than say the Cinema Snob or Spoony who can get away with edgier humor at the time. I find it egregious when Family Guy or the Simpsons start making rape jokes knowing well that they are aiming for a younger audience than say Rick and Morty or South Park who are definitely for a mature audience.
