Sapphirus has reportedly died.

I tried searching for obituaries for her but couldn't find anything. She claims her name is "Dottie Hill" on her FurAffinity account. Her Facebook account has "Dorothy Loretta Hill". I even searched for "Sapphiria Austin" as her ED page claims she changed her name to that.

Her Facebook art page says she lives in Pittsburgh, PA. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has obituary listings but the oldest entry is for someone who died on Nov 20 2021. If she died before this date I don't think it would be in this database: Pittsburgh Post Gazette | Obituaries

Legacy.com has obituaries for the Pittsburgh area, but it's interface and search are absolute dogshit that doesn't let you search for date ranges. I don't have the energy to click through the million page listings in search of her. If any Kiwis do, have at it: Pittsburgh Obituaries | Obits for the Pittsburgh, PA Area

That being said her DeviantArt and FurAffinity accounts have condolences posted on them, and some folks on Twitter were discussing it as well:

They're saying it was from COVID. Her Twitter bio mentions she's anti-vaxx:

And her FurAffinity has this on it, so it's a possibility:

The lolcow.farm posts mentioned her death might've been announced on her Discord. I found this Discord link on her FurAffinity profile but I'm not gonna bother: https://discord.gg/EkVwpSS

The last post of hers I could find was this reply on her DeviantArt profile made on Oct 9 2021:

Her most recent Twitter posts were on Oct 8.

Given how terminally online she was I'd say she's either dead, a vegetable, or has been forcefully committed long-term.

She was a minor cow but I had a great many laughs over her, so I'll miss her.

ED Page (this is a great intro to her):

I recommend glancing at her profiles, some phenomenal psycho-sperging:
FurAffinity: Userpage of Sapphirus
DeviantArt: Sapphirus-Artworks - Hobbyist, Digital Artist

Weasyl: Sapphirus’s profile
FurryNetwork: sapphirus

If she really is dead, then goodnight sweet princess. You were magnificent.

Because it's written where the name usually is, I thought they named him Cum.

For the amount of people with "radioactive" fursonas (see "Radfox", literal fursona glowies and the radioactive symbol ☢ furpatterns) they don't seem to understand the true damage and horrors caused by radioactivity.

All it should take is a few views of Plainly Difficult's YT mini-docs for these autists to understand that radioactivity is in fact not cool but a complex double edged sword which has both saved and destroyed lives.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why radioactivity is something someone would want to associate with their fursonas?

Decades of history of edgy OCs on the net, also maybe Imagine Dragons - Radioactive

a reference sheet needs to be able to illustrate your character as simply and plainly as possible, its importan to be brief and focus on the most important aspects of them
when you make one of those 'likes vs dislikes' lists, it can be assumed that whatever items you populated the lists with are of great importance to the character. you can absolutely include things that might seem generic, but those things needs to characterize the character well. if you include something like "he likes to have fun" or "he likes having friends", you can argue that most people do, but surely this character places a lot more importance on their friends or values fun in life above all else. when you say "he doesnt like being bullied", although most people dont, perhaps this character in particular is especially sensitive to bullying. the issue isnt that these traits are generic, its that theyre unimportant. most people who make lists like this arent focusing on the most important aspects of their character, theyre just thinking in broad terms, making every character they make feel like the same person.

its like the classic "this apple is vegan" statement. of course it is, but the fact that you felt the need to mention it implies something about the importance of that fact, otherwise its just pointless faff

Maybe they are radioactive because they know they are a toxic person? Loool I couldn't resist the opportunity for the pun.

It bothers me more than it should that they gave him paw pads, when rabbits are some of the few mammals that don't have them. They just have fur on their feet.

There are cringeworthy parts in this reference, but overall, it's not as offending as what's been posted ITT so far. "Dislikes: Being Clean" definitely puts it up there, though.

It's interesting how much a Character design can change a meaning of a trait. In this case "dislikes being clean," is clearly a fetish thing. But if this was like, a scrawny raccoon or alley cat, it'd be different. Like playing into cartoon stereotypes

I'm aware thats a bit off topic

I think nothing will ever make yellow teeth look good...
It took me a bit to realise the '6pac' was in reference to its non-existent abs and not a weird 2pac spin off. Also 'not chunky'....is then drawn as chunky since they cannot draw muscles for crap.

I dunno what's worse between the coloring, the writing, the proportions or the texture of horns/legs being just a bunch of small circles.

...I hate to say that I like this color palette.
There's nothing wrong with liking the color palette by itself. I myself admit that it's actually quite pleasing in comparison.

If he paid me to draw all this, I'd refund him immediately.
