BAKERSFIELD, California — Charles Manson is in the hospital, TMZ is reporting, and a source familiar with his situation told TMZ, “it’s not going to get any better for him.”

TMZ was told Manson was rushed to a Bakersfield hospital Sunday, November 12th, and has been wheeled around on a gurney for various treatments — escorted by five uniformed officers.

According to TMZ, the 83-year-old Manson, who lays still covered in blankets, looks ashen.

Sources told TMZ Manson’s health has been steadily deteriorating and, as it was put to TMZ, “it’s just a matter of time.”

Manson had serious health issues back in January as well, when he was hospitalized for severe intestinal bleeding and needed surgery to repair a lesion, but he was deemed too weak by doctors and sent back to prison.

Slightly off-topic, but does anyone here think that had Sharon Tate not died, Roman Polanski would've never fucked that 13 year old girl? (I had this theory for a while, and I'm also sure it's complete horseshit.)

This is one of the common arguments trotted out in Polanski's defense. It has a tiny amount of merit, in that men who lose their wives sometimes console themselves in the arms of a younger woman.

This really doesn't describe his behavior, though. He raped and sodomized a child after drugging her. He'd done this before, he did it afterwards, too, and he gloated about it. He never apologized for it. He justified it with comments like "Everyone wants to fuck young girls."

He's as much of a piece of shit, in his own way, as Manson.

May they die on the same day.

I remember reading that Sharon waited until she was almost four months along before she told Roman, she would be too far along by then to have an abortion.

It was Sebring who told her to wait.
And even then Roman said there were places out of the country where she could have the pregnancy "taken care of".
When she refused he went off to Europe and made sure Sharon knew he was sleeping with someone else.

He treated her like absolute shit.

Charlie possibly killed another man and he is buried in the desert. I want to say Bobby Beausoleil but I may be confusing him

Another thing I read was that the target was supposed to be Terry Melcher, the Beach Boy connection who had something to do with Charlie trying to get his music made. Its foggy the whole chain, but I am pretty sure I read that he thought Melcher lived at the place. But so much lore and falsehoods with that whole Manson era its hard to know the real truths. I read a lot about it when I was younger, but now too far filed back in my mind so cant locate all the data! lol

Saw some comments referring to these things so throwing out some related nuggets!

I presume most have read Helter Skelter, or the movie version? Bugliosi died recently too I believe.

Another thing I read was that the target was supposed to be Terry Melcher, the Beach Boy connection .

FWIW, Manson knew that Melcher wasn't living at that address because he'd come calling that March and been politely but forcibly moved along by the residents. It was just a case of knowing the layout of the place that he chose to start the killing spree there and murder whoever happened to be present, resulting in 5 victims: Tate, Sebring, Folger and her boyfriend, Wojciech Frykowski and Stephen Parent, a kid who'd done a stereo repair job for the house's caretaker and fatefully chose that night to drop it off, being killed at the front gate as he was either in the process of arriving or leaving.

The LaBianca murders were similarly, a case of knowing the neighborhood, they lived next door to a house Manson had been to for a party previously.

His only motive was kill whoever they could find at places he had some familiarity with. He never specifically targeted the Beach Boys, that was an urban legend.
