BAKERSFIELD, California — Charles Manson is in the hospital, TMZ is reporting, and a source familiar with his situation told TMZ, “it’s not going to get any better for him.”

TMZ was told Manson was rushed to a Bakersfield hospital Sunday, November 12th, and has been wheeled around on a gurney for various treatments — escorted by five uniformed officers.

According to TMZ, the 83-year-old Manson, who lays still covered in blankets, looks ashen.

Sources told TMZ Manson’s health has been steadily deteriorating and, as it was put to TMZ, “it’s just a matter of time.”

Manson had serious health issues back in January as well, when he was hospitalized for severe intestinal bleeding and needed surgery to repair a lesion, but he was deemed too weak by doctors and sent back to prison.

Here's something that may blow your mind:

After Bobby Beausoleil killed Gary Hinman, the music teacher, he was arrested driving a dead mans car. Bobby went to jail so the family figured "hey lets do a bunch of high profile copycat murders, so the cops will think they arrested the wrong man and free Bobby", which they then did with the Tate / Labianca murders.
When they arrested the family for arson and stolen dune buggies, they where also finding out about the murders (due to one of the girls bragging about them), they met Charly. Oldest man of the family, everybody liked him, he was a musician. So Vincent Bugliosi figured he had to be guilty. So he came up with a story about him wanting to start a race war based on a Beatles album and the song Helter Skelter. You see, Charly had been afraid of a Black Panther retaliation for a drug dealer he had killed: Lotsa Poppa. There's a name you probably never heard before, right? Lotsa Poppa had kidnapped one of the girls and some guys over a drug debt, and held a gun to their head. Charly was always packing so he drew his gun quickly and shot Lotsa Poppa so they could get the hell out of there. Later he heard rumors about Lotsa Poppa having been with the Black Panthers, who at the time caused a lot of race riots. Then there was Linda Kesabian, she was perfect to get the "Helter Skelter"-racewar story across. Pregnant, scared to go to prison, even giving birth in prison, she woulda told the judge Charly had started the Chicago fires if she had to, just to be released.

Charly was a beatnik (music genre) and musician himself who actually hated hippies, and hated the Beatles. He had told this many many times over the years. Vincent Bugliosi, the DA, build an entire career out of Charly and has been paid for many bookdeals, movies, you name it. Theres even a new movie about Charly coming out for which he will get paid. The man is a multi millionaire now, Charly never saw a dime.

End conclusion? Charly was a hoodlum, a thief and a rascal. He was no good, and yes, he was guilty of one murder, that of Lotsa Poppa. However, for the Tate / Labianca murders he was innocent. Charly was never the leader of anything, he just took in some stray kids from the street that didn't have a place to stay and he let them live on (quote) his "garbage heap". He never told anybody to do shit, as a matter a fact he even tried to talk Bobby Beausoleil out of murdering Gary Hinman, saying, and I quote: "You wanna go to prison for a few lousy dollars?" But Bobby was ademant, after a while Charly just told him "Well you gotta do what you gotta do, but don't involve me in it". Bobby felt Gary owed him money.

An innocent man died in prison, but hey, society deemed Charly the man you love to hate, a cult leader. Who was even refused to go to court a couple of times because he could, quote : "hypnotize and influence people with his crazy eyes." If you ask me a court case like that, the case Bugliosi made against Charly, today would not fly and it would be dismissed with reasonable doubt. Charly did not have much of a chance though when even president Nixon at the time was quoted on the front page saying Charly was guilty, during the trial.
