Featured on Sep 10, 2025 by Null: Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was assassinated during a Utah Valley University event. FBI states they have video of the shooter but no further details are public.

Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

When you get shot in an artery, it's very, very fast and a tourniquet is the only hope you have and you can't put a tourniquet on someone's neck.

If there was someone with military training nearby they could have tried to pinch his artery. But even then, by how much blood was gushing out...

Shot placement, caliber of round, and if a major organ/vessel was ruptured. Even with a neck shot if it didn't hit his spinal cord and he's suffering from nerve damage a good level 1 trauma center can fix him up. The best trauma centers in the country were unironically in Atlanta But Utah is in the top 10 still.

Best case scenario: someone was already on standby with the right equipment to render aid, start controlling the bleeding and begin giving him blood by transfusion downstream of the wound. Even then, they would've had to work fast and everything would need to go right AND this is all assuming he didn't suffer any other life-threatening injuries. i'd be surprised if there wasn't a medical team right there, that's pretty much par for the course these days. but that kind of damage it usually doesn't matter
