Quick weeb rant: People taking Charlie's anime opinions seriously is pretty funny to me since he's pretty open about thinking the entire medium is weird and creepy. From what I can tell he's a very casual viewer and just watches clips from whatever FOTM shounen is popular at the moment. I bring this up because of his recent adventures into One Piece discourse and well..

I can only imagine listening to how much he dislikes Chainsaw Man because he finds the protagonist with a chainsaw to be the least important character in the anime. It would be a treat.

Tbh I don't like Chainsawman, because it feels like I've seen that show/manga in 10 other different shows and it's also overhyped..... To be fair tho I've mostly moved on from Shonen and I'm more into senin. So I understand its not really meant for me. Charlie tho fits right in at that dog shit podcast called crap taste? They're all equally as insufferable as Charlie and seem to be just as equally afflicted with main character syndrome just as much as Charlie is. A running trend with all these tubers is having milk toast interchangeable opinions deemed safe by mainstream standards, making them interchangeable with one another as content creators. Sorry for my autismo rant, I just don't understand the appeal of these airheads.

Charlie and iDubbbz's "fanbases" do intersect in the same way that they are viewed as "regular people" that do not follow the gimmicks and trends that other popular YouTubers were plauged into.

These comments just highlight the fact that it's no different than looking at a Reddit page that offers no criticism at all, unless you get brigades with downvotes.

Recently watched his "Summoning Salt" style video on his last community speed run challenge, and man is it fucking boring. I'm not expecting much, I mean I can listen to Rwhitegoose talk about Goldeneye for hours, but Charlie's commentary on the events and tricks absolutely sucks ass.

His droning ass voice got so annoying I quit the video a halfway. Terrible job at explaining the skips, strats and glitches. Really needs to step up his game on the next one, but I really don't think he has it in him. He's become too used to livestreams where he can just drone on and on.

Can't be assed to sit through a whole video of him anymore but seems he immediately reacted to his whiny fanbase shitting on him and is cucking out lmao.

I can't sit through 17 minutes of him somehow not back peddling while he also really seems to be back peddling, but i think the tldr is that he thinks idubbz is a bitch for apologizing, maybe, as i said 17 minutes of him grasping at straws to not get people angry is not enjoyable to watch.

Charlie built his stock on 1. Dry, entertaining commentary over video games, usually crap ones which aren’t all that entertaining to watch otherwise, and 2. Scripted or semi-scripted comedy videos where he could plan out what he was going to say or edit out the dull bits before posting, such as his infomercial videos or his stories. Over the past couple of years he’s increasingly done less and less of that, now just livestream clips of him watching other people’s videos/documentaries that don’t need commentary over the top as they’re entertaining in their own right, or To Camera vids talking about e-drama, which isn’t necessarily funny to listen to.

I don’t blame people for their content evolving but when you can clearly see it’s a move to something he’s not as good at as what he did before, and it’s a move born out of laziness, it’s hard to be impressed.

The least I can say is that he doesn't seem to be fully retracting his statements, which makes him significantly less of a cuck then idubbz, not that that's particularly difficult feat to acomplish.
