I'm not too surprised that the milquetoast fencesitter fell for one of the lowest effort from trucks. To be fair to him, understanding the topic probably requires either having a kid yourself, or more in-depth knowledge of troonery than most people really have the capacity for. He was scrambling for a middle-ground position but he either forgot or wasn't aware of one of the most basic rules of internet discourse: troons are incredibly loud, and they are overwhelmingly protected by mainstream platforms.
Aside from troons, practically everybody would agree that childhood transitioning is a very radical left wing belief. Sure, you may on occasion find somebody who fell for tranny propaganda like "hormone blockers do not cause any harm" because they are just parroting a lie that troons like to spread, but even then they'll be pretty clear that they are against childhood transitioning. It's an absolute nonstarter with mentally healthy people. Even the further left leaning European countries have rapidly reversed course on childhood transitions, which would make you think that he would get the message. You can, but it might not always be pleasant. Some people do it in their demeanor or critiquing of things; like if he mentioned things about woke game design and what not. You wouldn't even have to be nasty about it, but it would be clear to the audience that you think woke shit is ruining gaming.
