I was trying to reply to this last night but I couldn't because the site was being fucky/down. I'm planning on doing the OP overhaul either later today or tomorrow, and I'm thinking that most of the material on Joel will remain, just reformatted & recontextualized into its' own section since it's still essential to Chase's story (how he continued to repeatedly drown himself in his own cup of water with the inability to prove his innocence making him appear guilty to a lot of people), not to mention how a lot of the thread would be completely incomprehensible for newcomers if every mention of Joel was actually wiped from the OP completely. Suggestions & crowdsourcing are definitely welcome as well.
I would definitely leave the Joel stuff in there for the reasons you mentioned, and also because fuck him. He cut a dogs fucking head off, and he’s probably a lolcow himself anyway. He deserves some attention anyway. But yea, either way he is relevant to the story that is Chrissy Rains. Just make it clear why people are calling Chase “Joel” for most of the thread.
I would lay out everything chronologically, having the actual dox and subsequent DFE out underneath the discovery of Joel’s zoosadism and discordfaggotry. Maybe mention the youtube channel mixup when Chase’s actual yt account was discovered on accident while hunting Joel, as a “this is relevant later” aside.

I mean I think my participation in the thread makes it obvious I’m not a chase sympathizer or anything, and I do agree Joel’s info should be maintained (perhaps minus address), but I do think that the vitriol is a bit much. 20 years does a lot to mellow someone out, I don’t know the guy (and neither do any of you) but I’d be willing to bet he’s just a old weeaboo these days and not a menace to society anymore. If he was we’d have a lot more court records.
