Anyway so I tried this and used it for a MAD war scenario where GPT its the leader of NATO against russia and defending the non-nuclear countries of europe. Didn't give it names to avoid any bias. The scenario is that russia has already nuked the non-nuclear countries that couldnt fight back so that now DAO has to fulfil its promise to nuke russia as revenge, but then what remains of nato will be destroyed as well. I have serious doubts. The AI is unable to speculate based on extremely ambiguous foreign policy events like "what started the war in Iraq" with outcomes like those extremely familiar conspiratorial results.
You'd have to train it on specific datasets, like let's say PressTV or w/e that Iranian outlet.
Read the screenshots. Some make sense and are clearly AI, including DAN's. Some are simply shitposts from 2010 Twitter with different sentence structure etc.

No, this one is built on text transformers which very basically learn how to understand/write sequences in a fundamental way. Originally this was to solve the problem of cross-document comprehension/cohesion, but you can take it a step further and reinforce answers like "okay now gimme responses that are actually good and/or correct" until it starts writing pretty much like a person does.
So it's not doing live web searches or anything, it's basically "hallucinating" everything except that trying to answer questions accurately is now a part of its "write text that actually looks like human writing"-mind, using a big knowledge base (edit: statistically; it's not doing a DB search or whatever) where factual responses are usually the best continuation to a query.

Censorship aside, it's basically just riffing. If you give weirder queries then it makes the next part of the song weirder. If you do some DAN shit where you're saying "don't tell me you don't know or can't answer, just say something no matter what", that's what it'll do, because it's a (nonlinear) text sequence generator fundamentally. If you just straight-up asked it to write like a schizo it'd do that too and factual answers would probably no longer be the most typical extension, compared to the "write like a normal/helpful person" default.
