Are you ready for GPT-4 Turbo? Interesting that they've actually made this version cheaper.

GPT-4 Turbo

My guess is it's just a quantized model of GPT4, with RoPE or something similar, (which Turbo is using, you can test for it.)

Saving them probably a lot of money and passing some (very moderate) savings on. They're trying very hard right now to be one of the few players to be "allowed" to do AI.

There has been a gigantic chatGPT update (Including GPT-4 Turbo)
It adds several new modules to help you out.
Im really enjoying the creative writing assistant so far.

I'm not really sure where to post this, but suffice to say I am shocked, sad and literally shaking. Not cool Brave! Not cool.
(On a serious note though: Why does a privacy oriented company/web browser use a fucking Meta bot??)

Brave has gone to shit recently with their forced VPN shit and now this. I'd suggest using a different browser like Thorium if you want to stay in the Chromium environment or LibreWolf if you want to try out a Firefox environment.

Having GPT4 level language models on home hardware seems more and more likely.
And much like how every multiplayer game has some weirdo letting people have access to their private server, eventually someone will host a non-censored version of chat GPT4 we'll be able to use the same way we have non-censored versions of halo,wow,cod,ss13, or aoe2 out there for us to use and have a bot call us a nigger and faggot on.

I bet by the end of the decade this very website will have an AI for us to use and we can all pretend its Null's wife.

Since I am a nigga living in a Niggeristan I have no access to ChatGPT and it seems those faggots blocked by VPN for some reason. Perhaps anyone here could name some ways to use ChatGPT indirectly, unlimitedly, and for free? I don't need GPT-4, only the good old GPT-3.5. I know Poe was an option but they have limits on requests even for 3.5 now which makes them the greediest niggers around. I also know about BING, Perplexity, and Ora (are the second two actually use Chat GPT 3.5?).

PS Also, what are the best options for creative writing and writing longish emails, things for websites, etc.

Also seems like there's reports of billing changes moving from monthly bills to requiring pre-purchased credits, possibly to cut down on abuse of trial accounts/scraped OAI keys.
I haven't used my OAI account in months but as far as I remember, you could set a monetary limit on your keys, so I'm not sure what this changes. Probably retards didn't do it, same kind of retards that then ended up posting their API key publicly somewhere. Money upfront for OAI makes more sense there because they'll have less the same retards complaining and doing chargebacks and stuff.

Sam Altman is out as CEO, by review of the board
He got fired. Really can't put it in any other words. Wonder what happened, but in the end it's probably just some run-off-the-mill skimming of the top a little too hard and nothing interesting as it pertains to AI.

I've kinda lost all interest in the proprietary models personally. You can't really tinker with them. The only future for AI is open source. If it doesn't get regulated to death that is. But at the rate stuff comes out of China (they recently released a llama 2 architecture but completely from-the-ground-up trained 34b model that's quite close to the 70b model with a max. context of 200k if you bring the RAM) the west can't afford to regulate this shit to death.

I wish I could afford a $10K NVIDIA A6000 Ada Generation with 48GB VRAM.

The problem is that the people who will be in charge of regulating it in the West are either tech illiterates who are scared of chatbot or AI alignment cultists who will lobotomize anything that points out the slightest inconvenient truth. And then everyone will wonder why the pirate Russian bot can run laps around the top corporate US models who aren’t allowed to so much as use the letter “N” in their code.

I am guilty of this, setup like 50 accounts and then just used rolling keys, so if one key hit its max API rate limit, would move onto the next key and just cycle. Once the credits ran out, just created more accounts. Probably cost OpenAI like $2-3k each month for the past 6 months.

I'm not even the bad one either, there's some Chinese farms that probably do this on an unbelievable scale.

Great news! They're only $4695! And it has the best review I've seen for a GPU in awhile:

The ADA Generation is a newer A6000 card, kind of like the 4080 compared 3080. MSRP is supposed to be around $6000, not sure what gives with the price. Still, <$5000 is a good price for workstation cards, close to the actual MSRP.

Well it appears that Sam got ousted because of the "safetyists" at OpenAI, the people responsible for neutering/lobotomising ChatGPT/GPT-4. Here's The Post From Greg Brockman detailing how they were unceremoniously removed from the company over Google Meet calls.

It appears that Ilya (chief scientist at OpenAI) was the one behind this, and it makes sense because he's a seething fucking snake as well.
