CHAZ/CHOP: Autonomous No Cop Zone and Commune Declared In Seattle - Render unto Warlord Raz what is owed to Warlord Raz

As an aside, I was gonna get that C&C clip where the guy goes back in time to shake hitler's hand, but I can't remember what it was from.
The intro of Red Alert 1.

And that guy's name? Albert Einstein.

Better times, when you didn't need to spend 20 minutes explaining why Hitler was bad before you killed him.

someone also thought the same as me:

I'm uploading the video here too.

I can already hear the new script for the remaster:
"Cut to Austria, 1926. A slender, gentle man with a palpable, thick air of homosexually charged eroticism stands outside the institute of art, having failed his latest attempt at the entrance exam. This man, who no only committed his lifes' work to the murder of millions, also inspired the misogynistic, hate-fueled campaign against women in the video industry, also known, as GAMERGATE. The man who met him? World famous Jewish engineer and mathematician, modern day theorized queer icon Albert Einstein."

(the joke is that they'll say if Hitler had gay marriage all the insanity never would've happened, also since Albert didn't have a string of women he's obvs super secretly gay now)

Now this was all slightly before my time, my parents generation, but the hippies weren't really activists. If you drew a Venn diagram featuring hippies and activists / protesters, there would have been some significant overlap, but they weren't the same thing. Plenty of reasonable people realized the Vietnam War was unwinnable bullshit right from the beginning... that in a country of sustenance farming and general serfdom, communism was going to hold popular appeal over the bourgeoisie and landlord types. Even many conservatives in government at the time knew it was likely not going to be a war won by military might.

Dunno. In many ways, Vietnam was just a big budget American remake of the original French Indochina War, with the US making a lot of the same mistakes the French did but with a better soundtrack.

Unlike France, the US could have won though. Defeat was self-imposed, due to restrictive ROE, political division back home, and the media deciding the war was "unwinnable" and forcing that meme until it became real. (This was the days when people believed the news)

Probably it wasn't worth the cost of winning, but it definitely could be done. Just do to the North Vietnamese what the USAAF did to Japan. Total fucking savagery.

Instead, according to Wikipedos:

Under the doctrine of "gradualism", in which threatening destruction would serve as a more influential signal of American determination than destruction itself, it was thought better to hold important targets "hostage" by bombing trivial ones. From the beginning of Rolling Thunder, Washington dictated which targets would be struck, the day and hour of the attack, the number, and types of aircraft and the tonnages and types of ordnance utilized, and sometimes even the direction of the attack.[27] Airstrikes were strictly forbidden within 30 nautical miles (60 km) of Hanoi and within 10 nautical miles (20 km) of the port of Haiphong. A thirty-mile buffer zone also extended along the length of the Chinese frontier.

This is like punching a brick wall in the hopes of scaring off a guy coming at you with a knife in a dark alley. The United States allowed itself to lose to the guy who owned the curio shop in Gremlins.

Same thing in CHAZ - the cops could've easily beaten up the troons and trust funders and stopped this before it began, but the mayor doesn't have their back.

I'm kinda glad they didn't tho, because this shit is funny.

“Navy”
It checks out, surprised no marines are dumb enough to do this.
Always the sailors. Wilhelmshaven intensifies

[EDIT]
A psyop idea dawned on me, if any /poltard wants to have some fun: spread around the notion that it is the CHAZ who are the boogaloo bois by framing it as a Occupy Wallstreet 2.0: Electric Boogaloo

Oh sure, the US could have carpet bombed the entirety of North Vietnam into dust... we could have rounded up two million conscripted soldiers and shot anything that moved.... Well, until China or the USSR directly intervened. While such intervention from those powers wasn't a major concern at the time, there was an understood level of escalation. But even if the US was free to go balls deep, then they likely would have lost the already 'meh' support of the peasantry and lower classes in the South, many of whom were already sympathetic to the North... The US was forced into a losing and limited war, which they should have just lost very early on to save face.

So of course the whole thing was a clusterfuck from top to bottom... if you wanted to choose a "stop commie expansion" hill to die on, Vietnam was a shitty choice. We should have waited 20 years and blew our load directly on Central America, would have been much more palatable overall geographically to American voters... Instead thanks to Vietnam, we had to play faggy spy games with covert drug and gun sales.

My friend who is there (hardcore capitalist and longtime anti-communist activist who lives in the neighborhood and is just taking it all in while keeping her own thoughts on the DL) just told me the CHAZ has a “feelings tent.” And, shock of shocks, everyone there is “profoundly mentally ill.” One of the people she observed there openly admitted they have DID.

If you wrote this shit as fiction, you’d be accused of being unsubtle as fuck.

Apparently they are trying to expand the tiny dirt pile for growing herbs and veggies and some coked up homeless guy decided to claim the space as their own.

If only there was a way to move a crazy druggie off their important farm....
Comments are killing it. "It's their minister of agriculture".

I just hope this ends up being a Thunderdome sort situation and someone challenges him to a dirt fight.
