I wish, but they've been acting this way for two weeks. Every time someone gets a megaphone and a circle around them, they pass it around so everyone can "have their say". And what they have to say is:

The only variation is when you get a black or gay person up there. Then step 2 switches from Happy to "WE NEED MORE VOICES LIKE MINE ALLIES ARE ONLY ALLIES IF THEY'RE QUIET".

This isn't even virtue signalling any more. It's ego satisfying. They want everyone to see them, hear their story, and applaud them. And these public open mic/megaphone moments are perfectly crafted to deliver that affirmation.

It seems to have been a shop made by chapos. Gun Jesus himself refuted it.

The guy he works with, Karl ruffled some feathers by doing one of those BLM statements about brutality or somesuch. it wasn't super well received, mostly because the Firearms hobby has a lot of overlap with cops, and saying ACAB and the like isn't a popular thread. It's been interesting in it, people are split. No matter what you'll get heat from some side, they demonize silence and kowtowing is false submission most of the time.

At some point we know we'll be the ones protesting another AWB and we hope we'll get this same hands-off treatment, so we don't like brutality. But we also don't like having to hunker down fully armed all night in our shops because 20% of the city wants to raid us and burn it to the ground, and we're called klan members for even mentioning fear of threats, riots, or retaliation.
