CHAZ/CHOP: Autonomous No Cop Zone and Commune Declared In Seattle - Render unto Warlord Raz what is owed to Warlord Raz

Oh well that's fucking peachie. We haven't even stopped the looneys thinking yaweh banned blood transfusions and now we gotta fight the looneys thinking the fucking sun has a sex life. Fuck me we really are going backwards.

Also, by that logic, today I saw a dog shitting in the corner, which means Chaz is doomed, as Chaz is the shit, and it got grabbed by the owner and thrown in the bin, to be forgotten by everyone.

Somebody should tell them about the painting Trump has above his mantle of Apollo being led in his chariot by Aurora. Maybe these signs point to a Trump victory instead ...

The eagle IS the icon of the USA. And the gasden flag, which is typically used by anti-fed groups, is a snake. So... yeah.

Of course nobody is going to do that. This is Seattle, there is no last stand, there is no self-immolation, nothing dramatic is going to happen, just larping. Look, everyone's already leaving Cal Anderson Park.

Most tents in the park were occupied by normal, transient homeless - Seattle has a huge homeless crisis, one of the worst on the West Coast, for lots of nuanced reasons. There are tent cities around the city, and under I5 it's just a big homeless city. There are local ordinances protecting camping in Seattle and decriminalizing drug use while harsher penalties exist in surrounding municipalities, like rich-rich-rich Bellevue and rich-rich-rich Redmond. So homeless people come to Seattle and hang around Downtown and U District and Capitol Hill.

CHAZ was a Bat-signal screaming "block party/free soup kitchen" for homeless folks. These people usually have nothing to do other than get high and wander the city. Now that the protests are settling down, the homeless are just trekking over to Seattle Center. There is nothing new about the homeless camping there, there even was a tent mansion that the city couldn't clean up: https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/se...sion-low-priority-for-city-cleanup/727621918/

Sure, there are protestors planning to stay in front of the East Precinct, but CHAZ got the same thing that Seattle block parties get. Folklife, Fremont Fair, UD Street Fair, all of them get lots of homeless and drug-addicted people showing up. But those other corporate and city sponsored events know how to handle the problems that come with a free, come-one-come-all street party. CHAZ block-party had no experience, and it was worse when come-one-come-all meant except police.

Daytime block party. Nighttime homeless campground. Just a few blocks in a quirky neighborhood where no large Seattle companies even have a presence - nowhere close to occupying the city or impacting the Seattle's downtown core or anything. There isn't even any large buildings in Capitol Hill, it's all 4 or 5 floor brick apartments and nightlife. Starbucks is still serving coffee worldwide, Amazon is still delivering packages worldwide, nothing happened.

Enjoy the laughs, farmers, especially ones all mad and scared and writing a bunch about Stalin and communists - just laugh. They're leaving and CHAZ is petering out and whether or not you believe in systemic racism and BLM and regardless of which side you're on, nothing happened.

Not one authentic hippie among them.

I don't know what's going on. Two men appeared last night and tried to lead a group towards the space needle but others are claiming that it never happened despite video evidence

You can listen to a #blackqueen argue with her television about it here

Apparently this event never happened and these two black dudes were just swamp gas

Well those dudes don't seem creepy at all.

Yeah, I'd think if I followed them I was going to end getting eaten or made into a lampshade or something. There's something very off about them.

Something anarchists never seem to understand is that you'll always have people telling other people what not to do. In a democracy, there's a whole bunch of checks and balances on that. Governments make laws, the police enforce those laws, and you can ask them for ID to make sure they really are the police. If they arrest you you can challenge it in court. How can an anarchist society replace all this machinery that has developed over hundreds of years and not reproduce the same society or a much worse totalitarian one? The usual anarchist response to questions like this is to ban you from their forums.

It seems like two very shifty looking guys just claimed to be speaking for 'the leadership council' and claiming that it had made a decision. But no one can verify the council exists or that these people speak for it.

I don't know what you people mean. Those are some fine gentlemen and I am sure that there is no risk at all in going into their white van with "FREE CANDY" spraypainted on it. The lack of plates just makes it all the more enticing!

Jokes aside. The organizers originally were called the No-Cop-Coop, Raz has just used his name or "The Family", and this can't come from Jayden since she's fairly unsubtle. So either this council doesn't exist at all, they are entirelt self-proclaimed or they are yet another shady weird inner cabal like the star hats and green mask's phone taking pal.

You know, I've been shit to you in the past, but when you focus and bring your A-game, you can churn out some seriously interesting stuff. :semperfidelis:

SJWism has all the characteristics of a cult. They try to convert people. They try to sell them an apocalyptic, Millenarian gospel about the destruction of a nebulous patriarchy and the ushering in of a new social order. They package up uncritical, credulous thinking as critical theory. They present close-mindedness as tolerance. Anyone who refuses their teachings is promptly tarred and feathered. I've debated them numerous times, and every time, it has ended with them screeching hysterically at me. One after another, they've ruined pretty much every SF/F fandom or gaming board that was ever worth a shit.

Note the clear divisions between the Old Left and the SJW Left. The Old Left was all about transgressive humor and poking fun at squares, championed by the likes of Bill Hicks and George Carlin; no topic is off-limits and nothing is above mockery. The SJW Left is very somber and solemn and insists that you treat everything with the maximum gravitas at all times like a little old church lady - no black comedy, gallows humor, or humanity is allowed. The Old Left was about breaking taboos. The SJW Left is about creating taboos from nothing. The Old Left recognized economic class as the key determinant of one's quality of life. The SJW Left deliberately atomizes us into a billion different identities so that no cohesive movements or shared experiences can exist.

Here's what David Graeber had to say about modern state bureaucracies:

The essays assembled in this volume are all, in one way or another, about this disparity. We no longer like to think about bureaucracy, yet it informs every aspect of our existence. It’s as if, as a planetary civilization, we have decided to clap our hands over our ears and start humming whenever the topic comes up. Insofar as we are even willing to discuss it, it’s still in the terms popular in the sixties and early seventies. The social movements of the sixties were, on the whole, left-wing in inspiration, but they were also rebellions against bureaucracy, or, to put it more accurately, rebellions against the bureaucratic mindset, against the soul-destroying conformity of the postwar welfare states. In the face of the gray functionaries of both state-capitalist and state-socialist regimes, sixties rebels stood for individual expression and spontaneous conviviality, and against (“rules and regulations, who needs them?”) every form of social control.

With the collapse of the old welfare states, all this has come to seem decidedly quaint. As the language of antibureaucratic individualism has been adopted, with increasing ferocity, by the Right, which insists on “market solutions” to every social problem, the mainstream Left has increasingly reduced itself to fighting a kind of pathetic rearguard action, trying to salvage remnants of the old welfare state: it has acquiesced with—often even spearheaded —attempts to make government efforts more “efficient” through the partial privatization of services and the incorporation of ever-more “market principles,” “market incentives,” and market-based “accountability processes” into the structure of the bureaucracy itself.

The result is a political catastrophe. There’s really no other way to put it. What is presented as the “moderate” Left solution to any social problems—and radical left solutions are, almost everywhere now, ruled out tout court—has invariably come to be some nightmare fusion of the worst elements of bureaucracy and the worst elements of capitalism. It’s as if someone had consciously tried to create the least appealing possible political position. It is a testimony to the genuine lingering power of leftist ideals that anyone would even consider voting for a party that promoted this sort of thing—because surely, if they do, it’s not because they actually think these are good policies, but because these are the only policies anyone who identifies themselves as left-of-center is allowed to set forth.

Is there any wonder, then, that every time there is a social crisis, it is the Right, rather than the Left, which becomes the venue for the expression of popular anger?

Graeber may not have realized it himself at the time, but in these few paragraphs, he basically outlined the shape of America's political landscape today. The radleft is insane; ravenous, hungry, driven mad by how their college degrees are only netting them minimum-wage or part-time jobs. The liberals are desperately spoon-feeding welfare to this class of unruly proles, hoping to delay them just enough to elect another useless, conniving third-way Democrat and bore us with more of their rigid legalism. The conservatives are watching in awe and horror as a bunch of jumping monkeys tear down statues. The far-right is spewing anti-globalist talking points about protectionism and ecofascism that would have been left-wing talking points about sweatshops and green syndicalism twenty years ago.

In twenty years, our politics have inverted. Who are the populists? Who's against the corporations? Who thinks globalism is dog shit? The answers to these questions would've been very, very different in the nineties.
