The guy reporting last night said there was a group of Antifa holed up in the precinct, who were planning to stay specifically in order to force police "to use their brutality" to get them out. I think it's highly likely there's a small group who's pissed off that they lost control of the original intent and want more violence, and are willing to martyr themselves to get another spark of outrage going.

The area is physically pretty small, but even if in my city, a bunch of miscreants declared an autonomous no-cop zone, even if it was mostly an apartment complex and a local park, it would be a big mess that would be national news anyway, especially if I lived or worked anywhere near there. So I posted a picture of a bobtail calico cat. I've had her since 12. I recently went to NYC to work during coiv19. Well I had to get a temporary apartment and I couldn't take her with me, plus coivd affects cats. I was planning on going to seattle once this shit is over, visit and get my cat back home.one of my friends was going there. well they are living in the chop/chaz area. I did not know they were living in that specific area. Updates stopped around chop happened, my cat not only got exposed to tear gas, but this week she escaped my friends apartment and was found messing around with an empty drug baggy in the streets. She has a tendency to pick up things with her mouth and bring it back to me. She's in the pet hospital for observation, she was in prior 2 weeks ago due to tear gas exposure from the open window through the screen cat balcony. When she got home the first time my friend told me she kept crying like a momma cat calling out to her kitten. She only does that for me. I think she tore open a hole through her cat balcony to find me. I'm so shaken up, but I just couldn't bring her with me, it was only supposed until this pandemic was over. I didn't want to risk giving her an unknown virus. She was supposed to stay indoors.

The legal system won't rule on whether or not CHOP is or is not part of the US. They'll throw the suit out regardless, because the police/EMTs/firefighters/city/whoever-the-fuck-you're-suing has no duty to do shit. If someone is beating you bloody on the street, a cop can just sit there eating his sandwich and laugh, and you have zero basis for a lawsuit because they aren't obligated to do jack shit.
Maybe you could sue the people responsible for CHOP for creating an unsafe situation and preventing the timely access of medical personnel, but that's about it.

That's what the businesses in the class action agains the city government are doing. The city government actively endorsed and provided material assistance to the terrorists and specifically to their illegal actions like setting up barricades to prevent the lawful owners of property in the zone from using their property. They actually provided barricade materials to the terrorists.
They were entirely aware that the unlawful occupants would use the materials they provided for the unlawful purpose of barricading off the zone, and with the full intent that they be used for this unlawful purpose.
So any damages arising from the deliberate actions of the city government should be paid by the city government.
I'm not sure whether it will succeed but the argument seems to work to me both on the factual level and the legal level, i.e. overcoming the usual immunity of municipalities for negligence, since it was actually an intentional act by the city government that caused the harm.

Cat's can't get HIV, but they can get FIV which much worse for the cat. It's typically transmitted via getting into fights with other infected cats or mother to kitten. It isn't the same as HIV in humans and the only "decent" management for it is steroids current, which can work for a short time but not for very long.
Cats, whilst they can test positive for Covid-19, can't really "get" it.. They were mostly carriers, however, Feline Corona Virus - not COVID-19, is again, much worse than the human version and produces FIP - which is a death sentence, basically.
If your cat is vaccinated against both of these, that's good. If not, order a PCR for FeLV, FIV and FIP and get them vaccinated.
The drugs would have produced a hepatic response straight away, so since she's still alive, she would be fine no doubt.
