When younger I used to laugh at the 1950's American stereotype. High and tight haircuts, people acting like educated adults when they were in public (including children), faith and trust in God and your government, etc. Now we have government officials trying to appease the whims of trash fairies and it's impossible for me to understand the reasoning behind not marching in with flashbangs, tear gas, and batons and putting these morons under the boot while their garbage piles burn around them. But hey, fuck it, not my city. They bought their tickets voting these jackasses in, they knew what they were getting into. I say, let 'em crash.

Libertards might like this. Practically, they're likely to be less professional, especially if the standards for them are low and they offer shitty benefits compared even to real police. They're likely to be wannabes who were turned down for the real force because of mental instability or for other character problems. Think about Derek Chauvin being the top of the line for an officer as opposed to being pretty marginal in Minneapolis. Chauvin is the guy who actually could become a cop and stay one.

Your private security, unless they're really highly paid and with good benefits and insurance, are going to be the guys even worse than Chauvin, because if they could, they'd have just been actual cops.

Then there's the legal issues. On the good side, they wouldn't be protected by qualified immunity because they aren't the government. On the bad side, they couldn't be sued for violating your constitutional rights at all because they aren't the government.

In reality, though, the issues would be muddier, because they could be being paid by the actual government and doing governmental duties, in which case you'd have to fight over whether they were or not. This would be even more complicated if the "private security" was just off-duty police officers, which it often would be, and if those police officers actually did have state authority, even while working for private parties.

So you'd likely be seeing more beatings and killings with private security because of their general lack of competence, and when it did happen, litigation would be a lot more difficult.

Yeah bro, if contractors are known for one thing its honesty and accountability. There's never any shady shit done with privatizing things, and as far as the government is concerned everything is okay. If you close your eyes the world goes away.
