In terms of the charges brought against the driver, does it matter that this happened on an interstate highway? Does the city of Seattle have the authority to even shut it down?

I assume the SPD was called in to put up barricades or whatever, but it was WSDOT that greenlit letting protesters take over the freeway. There's speculation that that order came from Governor Inslee himself, which is easy to believe since he's at least as cucked as Ted Wheeler.

That deputy is also one of the personal drivers for county executive, Dow Constantine. He's infamous for his own local corruption, mainly with missallocating police funds/labor.

Politcally I'm left-leaning especially on most social issues, I've lived in Seattle for decades and been a part of a lot of arts scenes and involved in the city and have also worked at a lot of places, so I have a lot of friends along those lines. Its just how it happens when yo've lived in a place a long time, but now those people Im friends with and groups I'm a part of are acting like burning up cop cars in Westlake and being duplicitous about cops and CHAZ and finally actually executing a minor in CHAZ are okay and encouraged and Im not okay with that. I'm not okay with the violence and I'm not okay the looting and violence we saw all over the past month with the "peaceful protestor" idea and the idea that "its just property" and especially the damned-either-way position that the movement has any dissenters in.

You moved to the left because you thought about the issues and found yourself taking that opinion, that direction. It came out of what you thought and what you felt.

Most of the people who're now mortifying you moved to the left because they'd get easy credit with their friends, easy popularity, easy identity. Those folks don't tend to think about things - CHOP executed some black kid? Well, I mean, my friends don't seem to be bothered by it, so I'm not bothered by it. That's the start and the end of their considerations - and a part of why folks like you or I, who naturally leaned to the left just not to the batshit degree, are the sorts of folks they seethe and hate and despise the most. I will never understand why these people thought it was a good idea to play in the middle of the road. Closed or not, people with cars are either self-centered dicks or actively malicious. Even crossing the street near a closed road can get you hit if the retard driving a 2.5 ton vehicle isn't paying attention, and there are people that go out of their way to hit smaller animals crossing the road.

How can they reconcile knowing some people are inherently evil while putting themselves into a situation even a 7 year old understands not to do, then getting surprised when someone tries to kill them? It's like someone told them to go play in traffic and they took that as a serious suggestion.

And yes, I am mad on the internet. I've almost gotten hit just crossing the road when it was closed to drivers, and these people think it's safe to play on the freeway? Jesus Christ, at least I had the excuse of trying to get to work.
