This needs to be given more attention and thought. What would cause someone to do that?
Did they come up with it on their own, if so are they mentally well enough to be in charge of themselves?
Did someone else make them do it, are they being controlled somehow?
Are they deliberately trying to be martyred for a lost cause? How many of them are on psychiatric medications and see therapists? Suicidal, and/or in a state of suggestibility?
I hate not having the answers. I want in on the joke, dammit!
I have an answer. Kinda.
See. In other protests sitting and lying down can make great sense and has been used to great effect. It's a tactics organizers use when tensions escalate to seemingly overwhelming levels. Why? Well 2 reasons:
First of, it immediately heighten's the mob's IQ by at least 10 points. You probably hears Terry Prqtchet's quote "a mob's IQ is that of it's dumbest member divided by the number of people" (paraphrased) and he was damned right. BUT, that is because agitators are quickly emboldened by anonimity.
So let's say you're a peaceful organizer that did things correctly and yet Antifa or their ilk is starting to turn the tides and gain control. By telling everyone to sit the fuck down you get 2 advantages:
1-visibility: you see. Humans walk on 2 feet due to the evolutionary advantage of visibility, we need to be taller than grass. Sadly however, humans tend to be of similar sizes, and having the policemen wear zancos would be a whole new level of clownworld. So if you can't get the peqcekeepers to be taller, you can get the mob to be shorter, this way if agitators try anything, they will be spotted and quickly swarmed by organizers and cops, and pushed the fuck out.
2-chain of command: agitators rely on preying on individual protestors to push specific points of the line onwards until the front lines break and chaos ensues, for this they both rely on organizers not knowing who they are and on the mob not knowing if they're organizers or part of any group. But if the mob is sitting down they'll know who is herding them quite easily, and agitators will have issues breaking the line, hence chaos doesn't ensue.
So first issue is agitators, second is cops. Again, if tensions escalate you can fear a charge being called by a trigger happy superior or corrupt political charge, specially if the people you're protesting against really are evil. So, quite simply. You know that meme that says if the mob's lying down horses will be scared of stepping on it? Well cops ain't horses but:
1- there just isn't a good way to charge people sitting and lying on the ground. There just isn't. A charge is meant to prey on people's fear to push them back, breaking the line, but if people can't move, then all you can really do is awkwardly stop running and start swatting at them in hopes that they get up. Which also makes you look like an insane fascist fuck to uninformed observers, so it takes a lot of energy out of it.
2-it also is by definition a peaceful act. It's not like you can go and punch things while lying on the floor and the added visibility highlights any bad apples so it becomes much harder to justify the protest being a riot, and therefore most will think twice before calling the charge in the first place.
3-finally. It makes it very easy to lock arms with 2 people besides you and create a human chain, which makes the job of cops trying to snatch people into minibuses much, much harder. So it can cause an enormous amount of trouble for the riot cops, which is honestly the only thing you can do if a charge is called, be enough of a nuisance and make the cops look bad enough that their morale goes to shit and the civilians turn on them.
Now you may say: "wait a minute. But they were supportive of the firecracker launching agitators and there were no riot cops around!"
Yeah... I'm explaining why the tactic works under certain conditions. None of sais conditions were met. So it was really stupid. Real reason they did it of course is they saw how this tactic was used by their betters on justified peaceful protests and they decided to copy the form without understanding the function because they are larping anarkiddies with an IQ in the negatives.
It seems that he vanished from CHAZ/CHOP the same day as he disabled his twitter account.
I think that was about a week after the shooting where he and Oscar 'confiscated' the mobile phone and tried to tamper with evidence.
I think it became suddenly very clear to him what he had done and that there is a difference between CHAZ/video games and the real world & that he could get into
big trouble; hiding/destroying evidence from a murder scene.
