CHAZ/CHOP: Autonomous No Cop Zone and Commune Declared In Seattle - Render unto Warlord Raz what is owed to Warlord Raz

Come on, the answer is clearly the most common one. They dumb as fuck, that's it. There is no great plan to entice people over to rural areas, it's just a bunch of retards soaked in commie ideology and taking faith in it.

Can confirm.

A few years back r/Politics had a post about the minimum wage and how it was so high in other countries.

All the sperging on there about how great Europe was and how their wage was livable until I asked one of the most upvoted comments if he considered purchase power parity.

I think I got -50ish votes for that comments but few rebuttals. The most down voted one was asking someone what Citizens United actually ruled on and if they believed private media corps should be prohibited from saying positive or negative opinions about candidates.

That was about -150 or so.

And that's with an entire country. Even megacorporations are somewhat limited in just moving to an entirely different country. I think the impact when companies can simply hire from the next city over and don't even have their fixed office locations in Seattle in the first place will be disastrous. It is nearly trivial to move.

People wouldn't need a minimum wage increase if cost of living wasnt so high. The only way to bring cost of living down is a crash. Like Detroit.
Which isnt a good thing.

What are the odds every company decides to either relocate their employees or fire them all if they're in Seattle?

I know every politician is corrupt but I never thought people this exceptional made it into government. Fucking wow

Edit because fuck typing on phones
Pretty much zero -- they'll just take it out of their pay, like they do in other high tax jurisdictions (e.g. France). It's like an income tax except 1) less unconstitutional and 2) deductible on your federal taxes (now that SALT deductions are capped).

I started to agree with you, but the reason Amazon in particular pays pretty good and throws stock grants at workers is because theyre competing with Google and Facebook and Apple and Adobe's engineering hubs as well as Microsoft over in Redmond. Starbucks and Nordstrom and Expedia are also all headquartered in Seattle, you do anything with computers and your not an idiot you can get a 6fig job right out of college. So in another case a company would be all "great we'll pay less in salary and pay less in tax" I think we're just going to all tech companies or any companies who survive on apps or online stores these days like even Nordstrom and Seattle are going to have to leave Seattle and encourage their highly paid employees to leave Seattle too.

The obvious choices are Bellevue and Redmond, but I wonder if south puget sound is going to see growth now - Federal Way, Tukwila, Renton, Auburn, Maple Valley and along I5 all the way down to Tacoma. Lots and lots of housing being built in Maple Valley and Covington, all new single family style housing developments, and Tacoma is growing in its own right.

THis is the truth. Sawant and Gonzalez don't even seem to consider the idea that someone might not agree with them, and if do disagree then youre someone to be defeated in a war. Just look at her own fucking victory speech, here are some quotes

  • This victory was hard fought and it was hard won.
  • We are winning because of the determination of workers and socialists to smash all obstacles and find a path to victory.
  • We hope that once again we can inspire working people and youth nationally and globally – in this crucial fight against the billionaire class which is attempting to force working people to pay for the current crisis of capitalism with massive budget cuts. Our rallying cry nationally must be NO to austerity! Tax big business, not working people! The Amazon Tax shows working people do not need to only play defense, we can also go on the offensive and win big.

Everything is smashing and defeating and crucial fights and rallying and going on the offensive and violence with her. Just look at way she ends her speech, its guillotine time for Bezos as far as she thinks:

I have a message for Jeff Bezos and his class.

If you attempt again to overturn the Amazon Tax, working people will go all out in the thousands to defeat you.

And we will not stop there.

Because you see, we are fighting for far more than this tax, we are preparing the ground for a different kind of society.

And if you, Jeff Bezos, want to drive that process forward by lashing out against us in our modest demands, then so be it.

Because we are coming for you and your rotten system.

We are coming to dismantle this deeply oppressive, racist, sexist, violent, utterly bankrupt system of capitalism, this police state.

We cannot and will not stop until we overthrow it and replace it with a world based instead on solidarity, genuine democracy, and equality – a socialist world.

Repeat to really drive it home:
"we are preparing the ground for a different kind of society."

Yet jeff benzo is known to donate to the Democrats and left wing groups for his own purposes. Gun meet foot

While I'm happy the commies finally turned on their corporate masters still doesnt mean I agree with their methods

Amazon has zero loyalty to locations and moves around all the time. I think the odds of them moving or relocating some substantial percentage of their employees is about 100%.

To be fair, the notion of "invaders who mimic/dilute your culture" is a fear as old as time. The only thing is that when white people express that fear it's "racist". Now, granted, I'm all for black people biting the hand of white and (((white))) liberals.
I would prefer if Blacks just dropped any pretense of civility and gave in to their essential nature, raping, killing and eating any Whites stupid enough to willingly tarry among them (read "leftists")

My point is that it's more of a continuum/economic influence. They're not going to close their Seattle offices any time soon, but I agree that this will tend to shift more growth elsewhere. Likewise, I doubt employees will be "forced" to relocate so much as just paid by their office and allowed to make their own choices. Think less "your job moves to Kirkland" than "Kirkland gets paid 5% more" being a factor in how you choose your next job.

Even if they don't take it out of the employees pay, fewer jobs in Seattle drives down pay. I don't disagree this will be bad for Seattle, I just think it's going to be a bit more subtle (and a slower poison) than relocating the entire office overnight, unless they do that to make a point.

They're renegotiating because they think they have the power to get a better deal. They could be right, idiots, or cynical that their voters can be sold that line regardless their own beliefs. IMO that's just not going to work unless they can prevent the nearby towns from offering a better deal. Even then, plenty of America would love to have all those high paying jobs and that tax base. Wealth is highly mobile.

This woman makes my skin crawl so much. Making eye contact with Lori "Frogger Face" Lightfoot for 10 hours would be less creepy. :cryblood:

Shit is picking up again on Cap Hill.

1400 block of E Olive Way is on a weird bend in the road and there isn't much on it: shitty dive bar The Crescent, Jewish deli Dacha Diner, and Jewish pot dispensary Uncle Ike's. Given that the Seattle BLM has had it in for Uncle Ike's for a few years now, my bet is on that.

20 minutes later...

From the comments it sounds like it's the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, a special Starbucks location.

17 minutes later...

On that intersection: Silver Cloud Hotel, Seattle University, Whole Foods, and Swedish Medical Center. Not too hard to guess which one is being broken into.

Internet says you're three for three. What's the back story on this Ike's place and BLM?

Uncle Ike's was one of the first legal pot shops to open in Seattle back in 2014. Their original location is at 23rd and Union, in the heart of the Central District. The Central District is Seattle's historically black neighborhood and this intersection used to be a notorious hotspot for the illegal drug trade, getting a shoutout from Sir Mix-A-Lot in his song "Posse On Broadway". Uncle Ike's is owned by one Ian Eisenberg. Basically BLM views Uncle Ike's as economic colonizers. There is a Stranger article that talks about it, archived here, with a video where 2020 gubernatorial candidate Omari Tahir-Garrett tells Eisenberg to "go back to Germany" and "let them Nazis get on you again." Ironically, the Central District was primarily a Jewish neighborhood before the post-WW2 Great Migration, when most of the Jewish population left to Seward Park and Mercer Island.

Seattle PD blog post on tonight's protest of peace. They also peacefully protested a store on the 1500 block of 11th Ave which is in former CHOP territory. Twitter comments say the peacefully protested business is the Rove Vintage Clothing store, which is apparently owned by the wife of a cop involved in the shooting of Charleena Lyles, a mentally ill black woman who attempted to murder the police officers who responded to a disturbance she was involved in several years ago.

Someone in Woke Stream's Twitch chat * said that Uncle Ike's prices are too high and the guy who works there is an "asshole".
Another chat ; Apparently it'd been planned since CHOP days to break in there, "Ike" didn't want to give the Antifa-tards free weed - which they believed they were owed for "stress". Whatever that means.

*This was on the back of asking how easy it was to score Molly or Ice at the protests in Portland, someone saying very easy, to which someone said it was "Protest coffee".

could we like Trick BLM and the KKK into thinking the Race War is on, give them a location and let them kill each other off?
