Everything canceled, or postponed. All these organizations tried to do something virtual, but that realy just means canceled. Graduations, celebrations, funerals, birthdays, memorials, church services, everything is canceled. But okay I get it because the King County numbers don't look good. I'm not railing against the quarantine, covid19 looks scary and the news about strokes in younger and middle age people look scary and the elderly deaths were getting out of control here. I check that site all the time and the numbers in King County in June and after are getting bad again. I think everything including the Washington state reopening and CHAZ and the protests had a lot to do with it the current bad numbers, and now all schools are going virtual all colleges are going virtual and Seattle and King County has to shut down and get serious about the quarantine and get it right this time.

Except Black people. All of you get to go dance in the street and have a blast. Look at how much fun that looks. It looks really fun. Wouldn't you like to go dance in the street and have a parade? Seriously even the name of article is "In summer of cancellations, Umoja Parade will cross Central District Saturday".

Its usully a 3 day festival so at least they didn't do that and they just had the parade part instead.

My gay neighbors hate it, too. It's a month of them getting berated by their friends for not being gay enough and indiscriminately fucking men outside of their marriage. They're fairly gay in my book, but not gay enough for Seattle.

The Greenlandic Norse were actually there before the modern Greenlandic Inuit, and were repulsed from Vinland (Newfoundland, possibly as far south as North Carolina) by natives ("Skraelingr"). They think of people as group identities. Conflict within a group identity they have assigned doesn't register to them. It's only between White people and their group. The origin of that attitude is somewhat logical - in life, an ethical person is first concerned with their own behaviour. You make sure you do the right thing first of all. And that's why they're obsessed with the faults of White people only. But the flaw is the same flaw it always is: they see it in terms of some mental construct of a group identity they've built in their minds. Individual injustices are meaningless to them.

Denmark and Sweden had (tiny) colonies in West Africa and India (basically just couple of forts), as well as a few Caribbean islands. Very small colonial possessions, but Denmark in particular transported a significant number of African slaves through the Danish West Indies (St Croix, Virgin Islands I think). Sweden, through its iron industry supposedly supplied many of the chains and shackles used on the slave ships, not sure how true this is though. The Swedish empire also colonised Finland, and until quite recently there were very racist attitudes among the Germanic herrenvolk Swedes against the Asiatic Finngolians.

Long time readers of CHAZ thread might remember Dejaun Young a Black man shot in early hours on 6/20/20 at CHAZ. Young was shot the same night that first CHAZ victim Lorenzo Anderson was shot and killed and there was a lot of publiciy becuse the medical response wouldnt enter CHAZ without police backup. Police claimed protesters wouldnt let them in, protestors claimed it was police and medics being unreasonable and KUOW says it was all a big miscommunication. Meanwhile Lorenzo Anderson was dying in a tent before being brought to the Harborview hospital and then afterwards Dejaun Young was brought to the hospital because of a second shooting. This was the night that police finally entered with protesters yelling at them the whole time, and found the victims had already been moved to the hospital, and there was some dude freaking out all "why are you HERE?!?" in an earlier video but I couldn't find it but it was really funny. Anyway it was all the same night, classic CHAZ mayhem.

Anyway, here is the important part.

Young later in his hospital bed said "I’m not sure if they were Proud Boys or KKK." - YouTube video from KIRO

Seattle PD finally released pictures of the "Proud Boys or KKK". Take a look for yourselves at all these Proud Boys or KKK. That sure is a lot of Proud Boys or KKK.

Chopp is getting old, hes 68 or something and has been in office since something like the mid90s. Even though I don't think he'll lose this election I wonder what will happen to his seat if he retires soon, will Seattle send a People's Party or Socialist rep to Olympia?

The far left in Seattle has been trying to oust Chopp for a while now. In 2012, before Sawant ran for city council, she ran as a write-in candidate against Chopp, getting nearly 30% of the vote. Then in 2014 the Socialist Alternatives ran some literal who named Jessica Spear, who dubiously claimed to be a climate scientist (she studied marine biology and got her name on a couple of papers as a research assistant) and only got about 18%.

I remember Jess Spear, even though she was a misguided Socialist Alternative candidate who helped Sawant get elected she seemed like a person who had her heart in the right place like really wanting to help people as opposed to Sawant who has always been a hypocritical grandstanding loudmouth with barely disguised violent speeches.

Looks like Jess got married to TD (Irish congressperson) Paul Murphy and moved to Ireland and is now trying turn Ireland socialist. LOL her facebook username and LOL this recent video of Jess Spear calling Irish people racist and LOL at the comments. Maybe Jess was always just as bad as Sawant and my memory is bad. Oh well shes Irelands' problem now.

"Socialist Alternative" Sawant lives in a 800k+ house in the Central District, the very place she campaigns and scream about gentrification and rising prices. She claims that she takes only a small salary and that she puts the rest in a solidarity fund, but it's just a money laundering scheme as the fund pays for her and her curent hsubands travel and expenses. She was married to Vivek Sawant a principal software engineer for Microsoft making lots of money and stock options, but how much we dont know because the disclosure forms when running for office top out at '100k or more'. So her council run was easily paid for and she probably got some sweet breakup money and now she takes her council salary and talks about how righteous she is and then puts it in a 'solidarity fund' that then just pays her and her current husband, Calvin Priest back. Calvin works at one of the funds, the 15 Now fund, and lol Calvin Priest worked for many many years in two jobs for the Bush School, one of the richest preppiest schools in Seattle. Check out those tuition prices on the right. Corruption is always the undoing of communism.
