Half the chinese crap I order off ebay ends up not arriving until months after the expected delivery, weeks after I've had my refund. I sometimes wonder if it's a dick move to keep the money afterwards, but if you're going to advertise delivery within 2 months and it ends up taking 3 or 4, fuck that. I got so many free jinhao fountain pens like this I started handing them out to friends.

I bought two guitar related shirts off of Amazon since the prices where better than I was seeing them. It turned out to be from some cheap overseas outfit. One was a a lousy low resolution transfer print and the other was poor print that wasn't in my size. I will never order any clothes online unless I know what I am getting into.

I would never order anything from AliExpress since anything is a gamble. Some of those bootleg game carts are dubious quality and they are already flooding the second hand market trying to pass off as the real deal, even though some games are cheaper now because of it. I recommend getting a Everdrive than a multicart unless you are really cheap.

I'm always tempted to throw $300 at one of these 4003 knockoffs but I've never been able to bring myself to do it.

You would probably have to spend another $200 to get it playing right. Don't give me wrong, you can get a sweet guitar from China like an Eastman but the quality might not be worth the price. I seen a guitar tech wanting to smash a customer's Ibanez Jem copy since everything from the headstock to the tremolo arm was an abomination.

I usually buy clothes from Banggood and Aliexpress, but I've gotten some pretty good quality electronic stuff for basically nothing. Only thing I can advise you to look out for is that if something controls with a little remote that takes a coin battery, you're probably best off looking for another product because those remotes are notoriously unreliable.

These things are so horrible that I've come to the conclusion that any product that includes one of these things is cursed, and it should be disposed of immediately.

There's an actual Asian market not to far from where I live and you can buy the cheap shit directly from them.
I especially like the Asian pharmacy. Endless bins full of God knows what. If I ever go there again, I'll post a picture of it to the "Cursed Images" thread.

I'm sure there is some elk velvet in there somewhere. I know 2 elk farms that make more off the antler velvet than the meat.

Buying power supplies off aliexpress is a horrible terrible idea. Buying bootleg game cartridges or whatever isn't that bad because the worst thing that can happen is it dies and you lose the $6 you spent on it, but the worst thing a power supply can do is explode and burn your house down. You should never, ever buy cheapass PSUs, chargers, or batteries, because it's not worth the risk.

I just needed the parts that interface with the dewalt batteries. I tore out all the electronics for the usb ports and built my own.

Before AliExpress/DealExtreme I used to enjoy going to turk/arab stores, they sold some groceries, cigs of dubious origin and the most gaudy electronic trash, clothes and jewelry I've ever seen. Rednecks and white trash might have bad taste but truck nuts and singing fish looks like they belong in the Loure when compared to the arab shit.

I live in a large "international" city and I need to check some of the weirder parts of town. Last time I drove through there it was a shitshow--old office buildings covered with gaudy and tacky signage, mannequins right next to the sidewalk, and a place that sold wholesale human hair (that's what the sign said). Even when I wasn't looking for trouble, there's always a place for crap--I remember going to a flea market in Louisiana once that sold (among other Chinese crap) tennis balls that didn't bounce.

I got a drone controller from aliexpress, something went wrong and it powered the motors via the 5volts rail coming from my pcs USB port. For some reasons it did break anything.

On a tangent, something I've considered buying online via an Amazon affiliate would be a cheap universal remote control to replace a remote for an older Toshiba TV where half of the buttons on the original remote no longer work. My IPTV remote can be set for Toshiba and it mostly works but it doesn't duplicate the all-important "INPUT" button (one of the buttons which does still work on the old Toshiba remote but I have to really press down on it).

I bought some fashionable floral eyeglasses that were made in China. I love to wear them but I can tell they were cheaply made and parts of the glasses kind of move, so I try not to break them when I'm trying to adjust the center part of the glasses.
