Not series related, but anyone here is a huge fashion sperg like me?
I mean, the type who spend entire days shopping or drawing their own clothes or spending too much money on shoes? lol

I just finished up the finale season of "the leftovers" and I can easily say it was one of the most awesome, worthwhile shows I have ever watched. It was bleak, beautiful, witty as fuck, sarcastic as hell, absurd in perfect ways, the cast was amazing and the soundtrack was epic. I didn't think TV could be this good tackling this type of subject matter.

I only recommended the show to certain people during Season 1 or 2 because I knew it wasn't the type of show some people would get into and I wasn't sure they would be able to pull off a satisfying ending, but seeing how it was done with the last season - everyone should watch it - from start to finish immediately, with no delay. Unlike most shows, it got better with every season - with the third being the absolute best, great writing and acting at it's apex.

To give you an idea the only other fiction series I would recommend this strongly are The Wire and Breaking Bad. I actually give The Leftovers, in some respects, more credit because they tackled extremely difficult issues of belief, faith and death in ways that are almost always done poorly, are sappy or heavy handed but this show managed to hit the perfect pitch and did so intelligently. Throw in the non-reality elements they included, which are so fucking hard to do well. The series gave you the feeling of reading an amazing novel, and that's a really, really rare feat.

I know the audience wasn't large for this show, it definitely got labeled with a cult status label, but I have not heard from one person that didn't become a huge fan if they watched it all. (I think it has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, to give an idea of what a wider audience thought of it.)

I just finished season 2 last night. It's not a show I feel I would typically watch but it was recommended to me. A lot of those episodes end on crazy cliffhangers and I couldn't NOT watch the next one. I'm gonna take a mini break before season 3 because I kind of don't want it to end.

The premise didn't appeal to me originally either, but I gave it a chance since I liked having something to new watch on Sunday evenings and got hooked.

I'm quite sad it's over for me - so take your time enjoying Season 3. But it will be the same "must keep watching" at the end of every episode. Only because I had to wait for an episode each Sunday did I, had I been able to binge watch it would have watched the entire season in one weekend.

Season 3 is fucking amazing, I loved Season 2 and was really worried that was the peak so the fact they managed to outdo it is impressive as hell. I envy people who still get the pleasure of watching it for the first time - I'm pretty sure I"m going to rewatch Season 2 and 3 in the coming months. They def bear repeat viewings.

I am a huge Bravo channel fan. I love Vanderpump Rules, the whole last season I kept getting chapped because they misused words (" the great outdoors doors is just so green, and peaceful, and magnanimous. " ) and completely enabled Katie's bitchy treatment of Tom. Also, I hate them ganging up on Lala and James, and the fights were funny as hell. Jax is getting too old for his role as a man whore tho.

I am LOVING Sweet Home Oklahoma. Think upwardly mobile white trash. Even got the Chief Bedwarmer to watch it. Pumps is seriously another me. I can't get enough of her.

Her kids have programed her phone to call her Buttlicker. I love this show.

Another good show is Real housewives of Atlanta. It was pretty brutal this year. Phaedra got her ass called out on the reunion, and since I have her with the burning passion of a million suns, it made me happy.

I listen Watch What Crappens podcasts after the shows to hear them make fun of all the people in the shows. They really make me laugh. Their impression of Kandy Burris is spot on and I love them.

Other then that, don't watch much more then news and Ghost hunting/Alien shows. The Bedwarmer loves them and it is the only thing besides sports, news and Bravo that we watch. We love doing MST3K type commentary for Ghost Adventures. Best thing for couples bonding.

Does anyone else watch Chewing Gum? It's this British show about a 24 year old female virgin. It's actually pretty damn funny. Season 1&2 is available to Americans on Netflix. Haven't watched Season 2 yet though because I've been busy.

Also Big Brother, my favorite reality show, is coming back next week and I can't wait. It's s summer of never ending lulz.

Anybody watching GLOW? 4 episodes in, and I can't decide if I'm really all that entertained by it.

Tonight's the night! I'm starting season 3.

Is Person of Interest a good show? I really liked Westworld and I went to look at some of Jonathan Nolan's earlier stuff. I've only watched the first two episodes but I'm intrigued.

I don't know about PoI, but replying to fangirl over Westworld. Especially Thandie Newton. She is so, so good in it. And I would watch Jeffrey Wright recite President Trump's tweets, I love him so. His monologues in Angels in America are still one of my favorite things, ever.

I fell in love with the show at the end of the first episode, when Dolores's dad is talking to Bernard and Ford. You know you're in for something special when some random old guy manages to out-act Anthony mutherfuckin Hopkins.
