Ah from the fact she didn't seem to be responding in an aporopriate way (shoot or flee) and that the kid looked like a darkie, I thought it would be.

A better portmanteau would be “chicongo.” “Teenagers/youth” are doing what roving gangs of “teenagers/youth” do. Expect it to get worse as the economy tanks.
