China has made tremendous strides in the Automotive industry, becoming the largest car producer in the world, and a key supplier to European and American companies.

With Europe leaving the ICE market, China is poised to provide superior quality ICE engines for a low cost.

BYD, the Shenzhen-based Chinese EV champion, eclipsed Tesla in annual sales last year. Last week, it unveiled a revolutionary battery charging technology that it says adds 250 miles of range in five minutes, outpacing Tesla’s Superchargers, which take 15 minutes to add 200 miles. And last month, BYD launched “God’s Eye,” an advanced driver-assistance system rivaling Tesla’s Full Self-Driving feature, at no extra cost for most of its cars.

China provides higher quality automobiles than Western counterparts at a fraction of the price.
BYD has built its success on price accessibility. Its entry-level model starts at just over $10,000 in China, a fraction of the cost of Tesla’s least expensive Model 3, which sells for more than $32,000.

More evidence of Tariffs being evil.
For now, BYD and other Chinese EVs are virtually locked out of the US market due to tariffs. But as BYD evolves, Le said, trade barriers might give certain companies a “false sense of security.”

In Brazil, authorities said in December they had found workers working in “slavery-like conditions” at a BYD construction site. The company later denied those accusations.

I dunno. I've seen Chinese motors. My old boss ordered a massive diesel generator from China. It's kinda shitty. Chinese electric motors are also pretty bad. You'll be lucky to get more than a year out of them. I've seen them die in a couple of months.
 
Crazy that China can simultaneously produce EVs and still burn garbage in the street. I guess a Chinese EV is basically just burning garbage in the street waiting to happen.
