I think this could be a good idea with a fix. Give the choices and have users vote on them with stickers. Option 1 like Option 2 dislike Option 3 Agree. Whatever sticker you get the most wins. Something like that would make this idea a little smoother.

Choice of Games is a modern take on the CYOA, complete with progressive themes, but there is some worth taking a look at, namely Tin Star.
You can also try Libgen for the old, old CYOA books, there's alot of them, Libgen has #150 for instance. Ed Packard coined the term Choose Your Own Adventure when writing the books in 1975, between books 2 and 3 he put that as a title and it sold.

As you can see, "Choose Your Own Adventure" has had different formats over the years.

It was more just to show how many books Bantam published through the 80s and 90s.
According to Wiki: "The Choose Your Own Adventure series published 184 titles through Bantam Books between 1979 and 1998." And this isn't counting similar series done by rival publishing houses.
