Forks are just a better tool, period. Chopsticks are not as good, and part of a culture that doesn't have the same ideals. That's fine they look at food a different way. I enjoy asian dishes, but guess what? It's still better with a fork.
Chopsticks don't clang off your teeth and are more aesthetically pleasing for many reasons. That is their main utility. To the Western hand they are certainly less efficient than a fork but I have come to learn and love them for noodles and even many rice based dishes. For a ribeye? Nah, but for pho or stir fry it's a no brainer imo.
