My cat Patrick actually adores having his belly scratched and rubbed, hehe.

But anyways, it's quite apparent about how distressed, and possibly semi-feral, Kitty is in the video. It goes to show how clueless Chris is in regards to feline behavior when he tries to handle the cat when it makes sounds of obvious discomfort and spite. It's well known how much he adored Pattie (even depicting her in Sonichu as some anthro character, etc.)

There is also the knowledge of the beagles having newspapers as their makeshift bathroom, when there is plenty of room outdoors for them to go out and do their business. They're plenty old enough to do so. They could even use Pattie's dog run if that is still up.

My sister would point out that I was rubbing my dog's thigh...

I don't know if Kitty was necessarily feral so much as she simply didn't like to be held and was informing Chris as to this fact. My cat was completely tame, loved being petted and would climb into people's laps when he wanted to - he just didn't enjoy being picked up and would only tolerate it for a minute or so before squirming to be let go. I never tried holding him beyond that point, but if I had then I'm sure things would have escalated until I was hearing the same noises from him that Kitty was making in that video. I am surprised that Kitty wasn't struggling, biting and clawing, though.

Really, Chris doesn't pay attention to animals any better than he does to people. He heard Kitty demanding that he stop touching her, just as he no doubt heard Megan, the Wallflower, et. al. say the exact same thing, and he complied for a minute or two...and then he went right back to trying to manhandle her again.

I've seen enough Hoarders to know that there have to be dead cats somewhere in 14 Branchland Court.
As of 2010, Desi and Skittles are presumed dead. They're probably lost in the hoard.

My family has taken care of a number of feral cats throughout the years. They all have different personalities, some of them don't like being picked up or petted, but I've never seen a cat react the way Kitty did in that video. I wonder what Chris had been doing to that poor cat to make it hate him so much :(

ETA: By "I've never seen a cat react the way Kitty did in that video" I mean by being picked up and held.

Did you see the way he held the cat? I'd be pissed too.

Also something about being worse than Hitler.

To be fair, Chris doesn't have to do much more than be Chris to make females of any species screech in rage and try to flee his presence.

Sorry for being :stupid: but what's bad about the way he's holding the cat? It doesn't look too unusual to me. I've held my cats in worse ways and they didn't go ape like that.

The only time I've heard my cats that pissed is when they're about ready to fight. OPL is lucky his face didn't get attacked by a hissing ball of fur.

Here's a thought:
Maybe....That video is take 2.
Take 1 was with one of the other cats, which DID freak out and attack him. Instead of learning his lesson, he instead decided to redo the video, but cast a more "tractable" co-star.
And even his more "tractable" co-star can't fucking stand him.

We've seen that Chris isn't one for editing or redoing his videos.

Maggie is very affectionate, but she hates being held. If you pick her up, she kicks and squirms and yowls like she's being set on fire. And she doesn't try to scratch or bite or anything on purpose, but I've gotten scratched pretty bad just from her kicking. She's just the strangest little thing. But then she'll come and rub up against you and want petted, and have her belly rubbed. (One time when we were putting Advantix on her, we had to wrap her in a towel, and it took me, my mother, and my sister to hold her down while my mother put it on the back of her neck. The howling was insane.)

Gypsy never liked being held either, but she didn't freak out -- she'd just growl a little. She was a grouch, but like Maggie extremely affectionate.

Cats are weird.

Yeah, cats are weird. The worst I've ever experienced when I picked them up was that they'd squirm, scratch or hiss. They never acted like they wanted to kill me.

Kitty in that video sounds like he/she is ready to rumble. Again, it makes me wonder what he's doing to that poor cat. At least he knew that it was time to let the cat go. If he didn't, he'd accuse the cat of trolling him.

Chris NEVER does another take.

We've got three cats. The only time I have heard a cat act even remotely like that was when my son was 2 and dragging our oldest and grumpiest cat of my mom's bed by the tail.

Maybe Chris unknowingly hurt the cat once and now she hates him.
Isn't Kitty like the unfavorite of the Chandler cats? Maybe they found her outside and got her to come in and she literally is feral?

I don't know. I think if they're still regularly coming back to the chandler household, they probably won't be feral until the chandlers are actually dead, at least.

Oh and once Chris ran over a snake because he thought it was poisonous. (Despite there not being any venomous snakes in his area) and it took him multiple tries to do it.
He was also really fasinacted with Ivy's pet hermit crabs and he thinks you can walk them like a dog.
Make of that what you will.
