Okay, can we have a discussion of this? It's creepy for a thirty-one year old man to share his mom's room.

Why is he in there? How is he doing? How crazy has Barb gotten?
 
It's not Barb's room, Chris isn't sleeping in Bob's old marriage-bed or anything. It's just one of the "public" rooms of the house that Chris and Barb now occupy. He still has physical access to his own room too but Barb won't let him hang around in there. Because she's a hoardy hoardy hoarder.

By all accounts Chris is utterly miserable with this arrangement. More so than usual, that is.
 
You gotta wonder what they do all day every day. Must be like a Twilight Zone episode in 14 Branchland.
 
Nothing's good about any of this. This is slowly turning into something you hear about on the news. "A mother and her disabled son were found early this morning when neighbors heard cries for help. When the police attempted to enter the house it was discovered they had been living together in the living room for years. A large stack of goodwill items had fallen blocking the door and they only resorted to yelling for help when they ran out of food. The son, Christian< was quoted as saying he couldn't move the pile because it was even more then a grand number of pounds."

She watches him play video games now too. That is mostly odd in the fact she has never given a fuck before. I doubt she's doing it out of concern and it may suggest he moved his PS3 into the same room as where they sleep. Considering Barb probably does nothing but stay in that room and watches TV may also mean Chris has to get permission to play his PS3 and listen Barb bitch as she watches. This may explain his interest in a vita game that is 95% based on adding PSN friends. It could afford him the fleeting illusion of making friends while not having Barb watch him.

Those are all big "if"s and "may"s though so...

I think Chris will hit a breaking point soon but it will be less about snapping at Barb and more about doing things only Chris could imagine resulting in getting him out of his situation. They won't be sagas or anything but just stupid shit he'll try in an attempt to find a sweetheart. Things he would have never considered before (but still involves minimal effort on his part)
 
I'd be scared if I was 31 and some witch watches over me 24/7. Poor bastard probably doesn't even have the privacy to rub one out. l:(

Maybe the hoard got so big they only have access to one room in the house.

But, uh, are we really 100% certain about this? I know some posts from the leak kinda pointed in that direction, but with Chris, many things get exaggerated by people. Maybe they share the same room a lot, specially since the house is hoarded, and occasionally they spoon together, but are we really sure they are in the same room together 24/7 (minus when Chris gets out to pick up food and stuff)?

I was actually thinking about starting a similar thread, glad to see this arrangement is getting some attention.

The thing that got me was when Chris mimed suicide with his Megatron pistol. In the Facebook leak, he stated, "I went up to my old room . . ." the staggering implication is that Chris doesn't go there very often, anymore.

When taken in conjunction with his Facebook rant about his Mom's not liking him playing Resident Evil in front of her, this points to an arrangement where Chris is pretty much gawked at by his Mom all day, every day, with the exceptions being when he's out running errands to McDonald's, Sheetz, or wherever else Barb wants terrible food from.

No wonder the guy is miserable. (:_(

Nah, Chris can physically get to other parts of the house, including his room.

I do feel bad for him as well because of the way he's living. Granted, a lot of his problems are his own fault and we all swear up and down that we "have no more sympathy for Chris" whenever he says or does something terrible and/or offensive, but I can't help but still feel some sympathy for him. Chris wanted to have an idyllic life free of problems; little did he know that would become his greatest problem of all.

On another note, damn I'm glad my parents pretty much showed me the door at eighteen and made me stand on my own two feet.

I think Chris has pretty much merged into the hoard in Barb's eyes. The fact that she's constantly threatening to change the locks is evidence she sees him as a possession to be owned, instead of a human being who has feelings and problems of his own, is testament to this. And the fact that he can drive to Sheetz to get Chaquitos and hot dogs is the icing on the cake. I mean, you don't expect Barb to go herself, do you? She's got sleep-napia, after all.
