"Goes down salty"
I never understood this. Alcohol does not 'go down salty', at least from my experience.
Stuff like unmixed rum has a dry burning sensation as it goes down your throat, but that's part of the fun. Long Island Iced Tea is usually made of rum, gin and orange liquor, right? So I think it'd be similar
Also, from the wiki article on Chris' first drink: "Robert "Rosebud" Butt claims to have invented the drink as an entry in a contest to create a new mixed drink including Triple Sec, in 1972 while he worked at the Oak Beach Inn on Long Island, NY.[1][2] Various local New York references echo Butt's claims.[3] Local rumors also ascribe the origin to either Butt or another bartender at the Oak Beach Inn, Chris Bendicksen."
Bend..Bend dicksen? Robert "Rosebud" Butt?
