Simple plots - it works at about the level they do no complex thoughts and feeling they can't understand come up leading them to stress out.

Simple art - The art style is very simple, it's not too distracting and it allows them to notice what they want and not miss anything.

Exadurated emotions - Chris and a lot of other autists tend not to be good at noticing facial features normal people do or other non verbal ques to someone's emotional state with massive eyes and over egged reactions it let's them feel like they can understand what is happening on a more intuitive level. It's essentially a visual laugh track letting them get in on the joke and know how they are expected to react.

It can be summed up as - Childish immature brain using childish media to cope with the world.

Megan. She liked it and he was desperate to impress her. Prime years Chris was into boy shit like Transformers, Lego (I'm pretty sure Bob got him into that) and video games. His pony figures gathered dust on the shelf of the Megan shrine until the Tomgirl Saga started. Being the pioneer of the brony phenomenon is probably the luckiest Chris ever got. It was his lightning in a bottle.

His parents were really open about telling him when things he did made him look gay or like a tard and Chris in turn was very open about that. That’s why I think Bob probably didn’t care because this was never brought up.

He would've been "get that girl crap off of there. I didn't raise a sissy." But, you do have a point. They put up with Chris until he went tomgirl. Apparently that was the last straw. Not the waste of money. Not hoarding crap. Not his internet shenanigans with the trolls. Even then, Borb had to accept it.

Boy, I would have loved to have seen Bob's reaction from Chris trying to suck face with men at TMG, making advances at Bryan, and answering the door to gentlemen callers in a negligee, which showed his moobs. After he's released, his antics are only going to get gayer and more over the top.

Yea they where far too lenient on Chris for a lot of things, Chris is remarkably irritating to live with and they put up with him for all his life shouting screaming and doing all kinds of odd things and they just got on with it (well bob did mostly) and barb just seemed not to care much inless it impeeded on her directly.

Overall a decent episode, though not the most exciting. It did have one gem I I liked though:

Chris at the end of the interview: "Don't bully people. Show kindness and respect to others. Put yourself in their shoes and think of how your words would make them feel."

Chris earlier in the episode replying to some random person on Twitter who was simply telling him to manage his tardbux better: "YOU DON'T KNOW WHY I CAN'T GO TO BRONYCON. FUCK YOU! Then again, it does lend credence to the theory Chris, Bob, and Barb are in this shot.

I always found hilarious that the very show Chris worshipped for so long and used as his moral compass actively made fun of him and depicted him as the worst kind of pony and opposite of the positive traits the show tries to encourage to its (should be* shudder) younger audience. Even Tara strong made a post mocking him after he berated her Trolling video in 2013 when even Tara Strong doesn’t like youyou know your a loser imao.

Dankula is great at interviewing people like that, he's also done come Care work as well I think so he has practice dealing with mentally compromised people and not reacting to them.
