Maybe? I was not there since the beginning as I did not learn of Chris until the TomGirl phase. It was so morbidly fascinating especially because the ED page on him was so detailed.

I haven't listened to it in a long time, but the 1990 radio interview is one of the best insights into Bob we have. He seemed tired and haggard by Christmas 2004, but the Bob of 1990 radiated with a lot of energy and charisma. The 1987 letter also showed him to be well-written and sentimental.

Bob's kids are Carol, David, and Chris. Carol seems to be the only one who was completely estranged. He was at least cordial with David, otherwise they would not have interacted with him, gone to his business, etc. So it seems like only one of his kids despised him.

Fun fact he was Technically a WW2 Vet not a Korea Vet he was there as part of the post War Occupation Force, that was distinct from the Korean War he left several months maybe a year before the Korean war got started but there was action against communist insurgents, but he was also part of a Comms unit and didn't see any action that we have found.

Chris doesn't like anyone who doesn't constantly pat his arse 24/7 bob was the one who was inclined to tell him to cut his shit, and he seemed genuinely broken up about Bob and every time he talked about him after he died. Chris wasn't close to him but he did care for him in his own way.

David seemed distant but not outright hostile towards bob, he wasn't as close to him as Chris was later in his life post divorce but he wasn't willing to cut bob off if he tried to talk to him but he wouldnt be the one reaching out, so a strained relationship but not a total absense of one.

Carrol does seem to hate him, no idea why I wish we knew why and it's gone beyond just Bob and extended to Chris and Barb - and Barb wasnt the cause for the divorce she met him a year or two after the divorce was finalised.

I don't think Bob was a saint far from it but I do think he was better than some give him credit for and worse than how some others view him.

Barb has two kids. Chris and Cole.

Cole is not Bob's son. It's not entirely clear who his father is, but it's definitely not Bob.

That's sad as much Bob tried to get closer to Chris, the more Chris was separating himself from Bob, with the internet. According to Chris, he cared more for his freedom when Bob was alive. I think this was why Chris gravitated more to Barb than Bob: Bob, rightfully was criticizing Chris for being a tard, and Chris didn't like that. I think it was his date with Emily in which Chris had stated he has "to respect his father, but he doesn't have to love him."

Now that Chris wrote that a smelly hoarded house is more important to him than his own mother, it's hard to feel for Bob even more. The Weston Chandlers were cursed the moment Bob said "I do."

Firefox with Adblocker Ultimate (or some other blocker)! I'm a retard when it comes to this stuff and even I figured out how to stream constantly and never get ads (at least when it's on a laptop. If you are streaming from some other device they are gonna play regardless).

That being said, it's not "simping" for people to point out that in the couple years before Bob's death, Chris seemed to have a pretty good relationship with Bob. Bob and Chris would go on almost daily outings to BK/Golden Corral/Church and Bob even accompanied Chris on his infamous "date" with Kim Wilson, ffs. If you even bothered to watch the documentary or read the Cwcki you'd know this. Again, I'm not "defending" either of these degenerates but get your facts straight at least.

It's not clear how Chris feels about Bob's death. In my opinion, he was genuinely torn up about the death at least at the time (the black tape wasn't released for a reason). Who knows how he feels now, especially since he's talking about how he banged Barb better.
