Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

The best thing Bob could have done for Chris would have been to try and find him a wife while he was in high school and make an effort to set him up with a decent paying but menial job somewhere. Bob knew lots of people and they lived in rural Virginia so I don't buy that it couldn't have happened. Chris needed structure, independence, and something to care about. Bob completely dropped the ball.
How the fuck would subjecting someone to that kind of hell teach Chris anything like that?

Taking a little break between jobs, so I decided to depress myself and watch the docu-series first couple of episodes again. Man, it's crazy how normal Chris looks in some of these photos - it's like childhood lets the autism be less noticeable.

But there is something I'm confused by: in Part 1, time stamp 13:30 - 14:00, there's a reference to Natasha, which is one of Chris's friends from middle school; the girl he stopped liking when he "saw her smoking". He apparently would give her money from Bob for "friendship and attention" - was/is this confirmed? I've heard that the high-school gal pals weren't necessarily paid to hang with him but not this one.

Anyone got info?
Yes, this was confirmed. Whatever info there is, it's on the CWCki.
What a great episode, the sequence of Chris getting a donation of $100, spending $100 for vidya games and then being sued for not repaying debt was great.
and this is why giving money to Chris is never a good idea; they know he'll spend it on the things he wants vs the things he needs. If people are still willing to give money to Chris once he's released, they deserve to get doxed.

Ok, I would like some input, I know the Captain isn't around anymore but does anyone know if the Megan's gun story is real? It was in the latest episode of the doc, and I swear that I have heard that her having guns was made up by the captain to dissuade Chris and I have heard it was something Megan actually said. I just want to know if any oldfags or someone has a definitive answer because I swear the story changes every time I hear it.
I was here for it, and it went down exactly as Geno laid it out.

Chris deciding not to go see Megan because she said she has guns is the only time I can recall Chris being diverted from his decided path.

Broken clocks, am I right?

Has Geno covered his involvement in the Shrek Retold thing yet? I don't recall seeing it and I feel like we're getting pretty close to it at this point.

Did anyone else barely get through the newest episode of the doc? The entire series has been like watching a slow motion car accident but now its like I've finally seen the gruesome aftermath and have to look away. Something about it has just changed for me I guess, which is saying something considering... everything that has already happened in it.

Turns out they were right in decades past: lock re-res away from society and pretend they don’t exist.
Uncle Adi had a better solution...

I recall the Shrek thing being about a few episodes back. The king guy looked alot like Beavis of "Beavis and Butthead" IIRC.

I like how that's the one definite conclusion that Chris has come to with women. Tell him to stop? Tell him no? Tell him you're not interested? Nope, you'll still be in Chris's mind. Tell him you have guns and that you don't like him? Suddenly it's change of plans for Chris.

Which begs the question, if that didn't come up, what exactly would Chris have done? Actually tardcreeped to her house?

yes, this episode hit real different. this was an era when it was hard for me to follow chris, so a lot of this epsode was new information to me.

i blame my hangups on just not liking the sockness in general/him being creepy, and i was kind of sad to hear megan was dragged back into this.

this is legit why Chris get obsessed with the idea that all girls had boyfriends. they would ask girls out, they would say sorry i have a bf and so chris thought all girls had bfs.
Later they would say I am lesbian, so chris became trans to get all the singel lesbian girls, i wish they just said i have a gun to chris in the past.

I am up to the mid 20s now and honestly this documentary has kind of Catalyzed that Trolls are just kind of boring and dumb and the funniest shit from Lolcows is when the consequences of their actions come home to roost.

Edit: Holy shit, listening to bob and the Gameplace employee, Bob's a fucking Karen.

Pre Christory is my favorite saga. It's the most fascinating seeing what Chris got into when left to his own devices. That wasn't a Gameplace employee, it was a dang dirty troll. Borb have always doubled down when Chris's shitty behavior caught up with him. Bob was probably fucking pissed Chris had absolutely nowhere to go anymore.

They both seemed to have issues that lead to Chris's Shitty Behavior.

Barb is a lazy Hoarder who seems to try and Emotionally Manipulate people into seeing her as a (worse) Victim than she is. The bit of Bob I have seen so far comes across to me as a semi-Hoarder who portrays himself as a learned and wordly person but is a hoarder who copes by saying "I am worldly and I want to leave things to my Child so they can appreciate things that I appreciate"

This all feels like a situation where "Everyone involved is at fault and nobody is a good guy" to me.

No, because it's funny.

Bob's a racist white trash egotistical narcissitc. He's a product of his time but you could argue he's an asshole. Personally, he's not a bad person, just a heavily flawed one but the consequences are justified.

His materialism had taste and sentimental (and some monetary) value. He just gave up on fighting the hoard because Barbs a bitch. It's sad that the biggest fear Bob had is being forgotten, and he got his wish granted from a monkey paw.

Always has been.

There are no heros, only villians. Chris' life is like the sims playing with max difficulty and all the shitty negative perks. Then playing the worst scenario and purposefully making all the wrong choices.

I thought Bob's biggest fear was Chris going to the asylum, and it ended up coming true. Somewhat.
Bob's not forgotten, but for the wrong reasons. He'll always be remembered for bad parenting that lead to a well known obnoxious, malicious, deviant, pest of a son committing incest with his father's wife.
